you go by the name Bill W, and you hang out at the bar?
hmmmm.........

As to your question, have you looked at the history of Christianity? It is, bar none, the most murderous, dangerous, cruel, deceptive religion in recorded history. Responsible for more death of people all over the world, and destruction of the planet than any other, at any time, ever.

It's the very nature of the soul of it, and people who are drawn to that religion have the same soul-source. It's all the same.

There is no birth certificate available for proving Jesus Christ
was real. He may have been a real person, who preached good to his fellow Jews that he was able to visit. But Christianity was really born hundreds of years after his death, so no one knows the real facts with absolute certainty.

So, Christianity grew with a following of those believing in what they were told he said, not, perhaps, what he really may have said, since the gospel was not a journalistic account in
real time with his life, just as is the mythology of the Greek Gods.

Anyway, divisions grew about what Christ really meant for his followers to do, so now we have all these "flavors" of Christianity, and, of course, each leader says theirs is the true interpretation of his words. When you are a true believer, you get passionate, and therefore, you'll fight to prove you are right, even though Jesus was a pacificist.

I, too, have more trust in my friends at the bar.

Because most people that claim they're Christians really don't guide themsleves by what the bible really defines as being true Christians.
Jesus said that NOT all that say: 'Lord, Lord' will be saved in the destruction at the end of days.
These Christians that claim to accept Jesus as their saviors do not really guide themselves by the example set by Jesus in the Bible.
1 of Corinthians 3:1-5 tells of the situation nowadays and how the poeple that claim to have Jesus on their side would act. So if you read that text in your bible and you see that someone that goes to church, claiming they are a christian, does any one those things you know that they're NOT true christians.

Have you read the paper at all?
While Christians may argue, and some times even fight, I find it hard to rationalize the question when I see what is happening in Iraq.
But as my Dad says:
Sitting in a hen house doesn't make you a chicken.
He is a preacher and uses this to say that a lot of people go to Christian churches are as much a Christian as a fox is in the hen house is a chicken.
So are you a fox in the hen house or are the ones you condemn?

Don't blame the failure of Christians on God or His plan. Christianity is real, even if Christians are bad.

We are NOT perfect.

Just because YOU do not see God at work in Christians--It does NOT mean He is not working on them.

God allows us to go through things--and when we get to the bottom--hit bottom--there is NOWHERE ELSE to look, but UP to God.

He will pull you out of the deepest pit.
His arm is that long,............
