when i see something that i don't like i turn the channel. so why do some people waste their time in this forum shooting others down? i would understand if they had a legitamate answer to a question, but some seem to log on just to click around and tell people they are stupid. is this done in other sections? i've never offered up a cinnamon cookie recipe to hear others tell me i'm a fool for liking cinnamon and shouldn't follow recipe books because betty crocker either doesn't exist or has no right to tell me to separate my eggwhites.

people just like stirring up hate, i think. i wonder if they do that in real life. if they have one.

OK you talk about how people are "shooting others down" but then you just go and give a cheap shot yourself at the end.

I was all agreeing with you until that last comment. I thought you had beat me to the question that I just posted. We all need to be respectful.

***UPDATE***
TO slkrchck:
I forgive you.

I watch things I would not want my little brothers or sisters to watch like South Park but if it is something I think is terrible I don't watch it. I don't feel the need to scream about it because you can turn the channel.
The exception I made was screaming about the palestinian TV shows that indoctrinate children to terror such as these shows

I think those are different than watching something that may not be in line with Jewish law or is a bit hypocritical of me to watch. The way I figure it, you can watch whatever you want but I do worry about what children watch on tv.

It is legal to watch it where they have the copyrights to watch it at. For example Hulu is one of the best. The shows network sites are legal. But people do it anyway all the time. They risk virus's and mal ware and all kinds of ad pop ups etc. And at the same time many sites as for personal info and god knows what they can do with that.

I really don't see any point in television at all except for educational things the History Channel, etc.

Oh, and Spongebob Squarepants.

The rest of it is nothing but a sewage cesspool, and most of the people I know, religious or not, agree with that.

I think a few people delight in telling others they are stupid, etc. What is really sad is that some people come here asking for prayer and comfort, only to have someone tell them they are an idiot and not to waste time praying. How cruel!

I agree with you.

Most TV shows are worthless.

I don't think people get killed over cinnamon cookie recipes. I don't know. Maybe they get killed by your cinnamon cookie recipes. Religion is a controversial subject, just like politics. People get more worked up here than in other sections. There's a lot more at stake here.

I am with YOU.

We sometimes delete that channel--if they advertise for CRAP that should not even be seen by adults.

Here's a radical idea. Don't watch television at all.

It can be done.
