I wonder if they are as insulting to people in their everyday interaction as they are on Yahoo. I am all for passion but really.

Thanks Goldwing, inflection is important

We have to be careful HOW we read answers or questions...the problem rises because there is no inflection in writing...therefore, what may sound harmless when spoken can come out harsh when written...AND, we have little space to write, little time to write, so we take a tactless route and put it on the line. Sensitive souls, perhaps, should not write questions if they are going to be offended by the answers that are blunt. Often, truth appears in the answers, it just isn't the truth that the asker is looking for. I see far too many questions on this site (not seniors) that are written for confirment of action, not advice. When one tells it like it is, they get a blasting letter from the asker! and let's face it, few people take the time to write a good answer...they pop off flipant advice, such as "get a divorce." And that is not a good answer. Good luck and peace, Goldwing

Daisy, goldwing is right. Then too some people just are having a bad day and decide to take it out on us We just have to take it with a grain of salt
I refuse to give them the power to ruin my day

I think Goldwing said it all and he seems to be the one who makes the most sense.

It is because most people do not realize, but blind passion is the supreme rule these days. This is why people can seem so passionate in this place, because saying something on the internet is just as effective if you said it into the faces of all people in thee world.

A lot of people have an overinflated sense of self worth. They just can't understand why other people don't take them as seriously as they take themselves. Most of them were brought up spoiled and still are.

I don't understand it either daisymae. I thought we were kind of "one for all and all for one" around here.
