I don't. so Im with you. All I need is a good hot meal, a shower and a roof over my head and a happy family and I am content.
i do not need anything more than that. the love of my family and friends.
I suppose others do not have this structure so are tempted to flock to any family that will take them in to be needed is something very human.
(LOL keep thumbing down Zelouts, it changes nothing, I am still happier in nature with Mother Earth any day knowing she is here giving us life than any of that poppycock.) The more thumbs down I see just shows me how many ignorant people there are) What is wrong with just being happy with your family and loved ones and not feeling you need that? Just because YOU do does not mean I do so your hypocracy shows with every thumb down. Those with thumbs up have a clue in reality at least!)

Well, I don't think it's caused by stupid parents, being that my parents were never the church going bunch...
The question I've always had was why am I even here. I always wanted to know what's the reason for life if there isn't anything after I die.
I actually started researching the governments and hit a spot with David Icke who talks a lot about the Illuminati. Aaron Russo also speaks about the corrupt governments of this world.
After the Bible was quoted a couple of times I bought a bible and read the whole book. Whatever I didn't understand I researched again.
And in the end I found nothing but the Truth in The Holy Bible. All my questions were answered, especially in the Book of Revelation.
I believe now that I need The Lord Jesus Christ and have since followed him the best way I know how.

Mao rightly said ` Religion is like opium'.
One requires lord because one requires a support system to lean on. Whether it exists or not , whether it is imaginary.
To face the Truth one needs common sense and a brave heart. To think `out of the box' one needs intelligence too.

Me personally because I can't do this life living thing alone. Christianity is what works for me.
But I don't judge others beliefs and I know enough people to know that being an Atheist does not make you a bad person.

Oh honey, we don't feel bad about ourselves and our nature. Some people are so unhappy with their own lives, they just can't stand it when other people are happy. We NEED that Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because God gave Him to save our sorry elbows from Satan.

my savior was Tim Lyles, a Sgt in the US Army
he was agnostic, and his boss, John Hall was atheist
they together asked me hard questions about my faith in the christian version of god, until they showed me not only did they know the bible better than a 'godbeliever', but I only knew doctrine and knew little about the actual bible and it's history as they did with an education.
since then I have been saved from christianity and mindless following, did constant research and asked my own questions

Why should I feel bad about myself in this present age of relative morality. There is no God, no judgment to come, right? We can do whatever we want. Yet we still believe in right and wrong. When someone does wrong against us, then we believe in judgment and punishment for the evil doer. Only when it comes to doing what we want to do is morality back to being relative again. So we live in this world excusing what we do and others like us do, and condemning those who hurt us. But of course if morality is relative then there is no right and wrong and therefore, someone hurting us is not doing wrong. Somehow those who proclaim this the loudest also proclaim their hatred, judgment and condemnation of those who hurt them. So truly we never can shake this out of our system. It seems to be hard wired in. Even children who scream, that's not fair, are appealing to a standard of living that they expect everyone to know. And here is the acid test. Let our whole personal life, every detail, be shown on a wide screen for everyone to see. Any takers? The point is that our own heart condemns us, if we ever take time to think about it.
Then I read that God condemns me. Now God and my heart gang up on me. It is the most uncomfortable feeling to feel guilty before the living God, you know, the one soldiers know is living when the mortars fall. Anyway, God shows me I am guilty -- and gee, I thought I was a decent guy -- and I see punishment for my sins in my future. Then He points to Jesus the Savior. I find out that Jesus paid the penalty for my sins if I want to receive it. If I don't then I have to face God on my own and pay the penalty for my own sins. No thanks. I need Jesus who happens to be Lord of lords and King of kings and my savior. Thank you Jesus for saving my soul. Now comes the hard part. Living for Jesus in this age of anything goes. Well, I'd rather be a fool for Jesus than a wise man hip deep in sin. Sorry, one scripture: It is appointed unto men once to die and after that the judgment. We all need the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of all. We need the salvation He offers.

Christian, n.
One who believes that the New Testament is a divinely inspired book admirably suited to the spiritual needs of his neighbor. One who follows the teachings of Christ in so far as they are not inconsistent with a life of sin.
- Ambrose Bierce
They don't think they need a lord and savior. They think YOU do.

The evils and addicitons of the world will lead you to self distruction. The Savior will lead you to freedom from self destruction and give you a clear reality of a better way of life. That is the way I see it.
