Why do you say us Atheists are going to Hell in a hand basket?
That is so childish, why can't you just accept people for who they are and leave us all alone.
Just because you believe in your God, it does not mean it gives you the right to force your beliefs down our throats.
You say God gave us all free will, why don't you let people make their own minds up about it and leave us alone?
This is not meant to be disrespectful.

Why did the journal Nature say that the famous “peppered moth” example , once the “prize horse in our stable” to illustrate evolution by natural selection, must now be thrown out. Science textbooks assert that during the industrial revolution, when tree trunks were darkened by soot, a light-colored variety of the moth become easier for birds to see and were eaten up, while a darker moth flourished. But recently it has been discovered that photographs showing the light moths against the darkened tree trunks were faked. Peppered moths fly about in the upper branches of trees and don’t perch on the trunks at all. Even more is the admission by biologist Theodore Sargent of the University of Massachusetts admitted that he glued dead samples of the moths onto the tree trunks for a NOVA documentary, do most researchers fake evidence to support their religion of evolution?

I'm 20. Will a business management degree do me much good in wv? I know the main thing is health care... This will be my first time moving. I would be coming from Maryland... And I know the pay and cost of living varies a lot but will I likely make it? What kind of jobs can I appy for? you don't have to answer all these but would love some feedback on the idea. I'm thinking morgantown, clarksburg, bridgeport or buckhannon...

I'm posting this here because I didn't get any responses in what I thought was the appropriate forum, but my fave r&s forum is very active...

I can't figure out when religious people mention the great flood,,,, where did all the extra water suddenly rush over the earth from nowhere ?? and where did it all go away to after serving the purpose of the god ?? (then some people feel offended if I call bible a fairy tale) I mean, to flood all the landmass on earth requires many times more water than that in all the oceans combined,, and such a sudden global throwdown of water cannot fit my imagination very well, don't know really, any opinion on this one ???

.....have you ever noticed the more thumbs down your answers receive here at R&S, the more likely you are to be saved and on your way to an eternal paradise with your MAKER???

And conversely - the more thumbs up you get, the more likely you are to burn in HELL for all eternity???

Isn't it ironic....GOD gets to give us the final thumbs up!

... it is god himself who made us what we are, rational human beings that is? Isn't it pure logic that some people (in fact a lot of people) will not be able to believe in something without proofs? If god is real and he created us, why would he punish us for what he made us be?

I know I will probably get a lot of answers such as "they are just stupid" but this is not the kind of answer that I seak. Those who think god punishes non believers must have some arguments and I await them

Catholic church is the only and true church directly founded by our Lord Jesus Christ, no matter how vigorously Protestants deny it. In essence, Protestantism is a 'man-made' religion and I'm sorry but Sola Scriptora itself does not receive any single support from the Bible, when Protestants themselves claim aloud "scripture only."

atheism is the specific belief there is no god and is the polar opposite of theism. however, you must be introduced to the concept of gods in order to choose to believe or to not believe.

my question is: what are you before you have been introduced to the concept of gods?

you can't be an atheist because you know nothing of gods in the first to say you don't believe in them. what is this religious stance called?

God is good. God can only create good things. So what does it mean when He says "God created light and He saw that it was good"? Was He surprised? Didn't He already know that everything He makes is good? And who says what "good" is, anyway... oh wait, He does. So basically, everything He creates is good, and the standard of "good" used was His doing... it's all so confusing. I think it would take an infinitely intelligent person to understand all of this. Help!
