This is a wonderful story, a timeless classic, and the earliest written historical novel... You really should read it for yourself and get a feel for great literature. It is well worth starting, and I think you will find it fascinating!

Idk. It's been a while since I read that one.

I do remember that Gilgamesh was despondent over the tragic demise of his friend in the story.

There are parallels between the epic of Gilgamesh and some biblical stories: for example, the flood that God unleashed on a sinful world...Noah and his folks, as well as all animals on board the ark surviving...and some other elements in the story have similarities with true accounts, too.
