It's more fun than debating them.

Why do atheists resort to Latin verbosity in order to appear more intellectual? You generalize and as well are attacking right now "ad hominem" rather than addressing the issues that conflict with opposing viewpoints you, instead, assert behavioral charectoristics associated with weakness of position or scarcity of supportive material. That would be like me saying...Why is it that theists when faced with an intelligent point of scientific fact supporting the creationist position...just shut up all together and go elsewhere? I have to admit to the same thing when debating theists. I try(key word) to be funny with it though. Hard to take this seriously when it's the same questions over and over.

It's easier and less time consuming to tell me I'm going to Hell than use reason and debate the issues. Theists are very busy people, you know.

There should be no debates between theists and atheists
on conversion one way or the other. No one will ever dissuade or persuade the other side. Respect each others' beliefs or lack thereof, and move on.. GL :)

Because belittling someone and personally attacking them is easier than coming up with a logical argument.
But I've seen it go both ways.

I've seen it go the other way just as many times. I guess when you feel really strongly about something, you can't understand how anyone else could feel so strongly in the opposite direction.

Atheists admit to no authority or realm of discussion outside the human.
Therefore, it would seem that the human element is a legitimate area to explore in the conversation. If human is all you've got - according to an atheist - then that has to be the arena in which you debate.

It is the human weakness of lowering the other person to a state that is below themselves, to be superior you have to make the other person inferior, this is certainly not what Christ ever did so I guess it is narrow-mindedness.

I don't believe in attacking homosexuals. How can you say such a thing.
