I was talking with my husband last night about being reincarnated until you live a virtually sin free life so you can climb the next step toward God.

My husband replied that he is not coming back no matter what. I told him jokingly at the time that he was going to come back as me his next life due to the crap he has dealt me most of our marriage.

Then I started thinking that can things like that really happen?

Can we be someone of a past life that had influenced us somehow?

I'm 19 and I'm a girl. I feel very confused. I've gone through periods of time when I was attracted to both women and men. Then times when it was only men. I also go through days when I feel very feminine and others when I feel masculine. But most days, I feel neither extremely feminine nor masculine...just in between. I'm very self conscious of how I walk and talk...I try to appear as feminine as I can but it's hard sometimes.

What's wrong with me? Why am I like this?

Why do humans have useless hair (e.g., on legs and arms)?
Why do humans have a coccyx (i.e., a tailbone)?
Why do humans have wisdom teeth?
Why do humans have an appendix?

Heck, why do some humpback whales have leg bones found in their bodies?
Why do flightless birds have wings?
Why is God so imperfect? Is he screwing around having fun, or what? If he's NOT imperfect, then why all the imperfections?

the reason i ask is because, there are some educated people who show this character. there are politicians who know what is right and what is wrong, but yet failed to see it. there are doctors who only see the profit aspect of patients. there are lawyers who will fight the wrong to be right if the money is right.

Some psychopaths are charming and successful (look at our world leaders). So, given that evolution works for humans as well as other species, why haven't we all evolved to be charming and successful psychopaths?

Fundamentalist Christians, would you support the calling for an assasination of a cartoonist who depicted Jesus Christ in such a manner?

I want to raise my child in a Christian home. I want my child to know to real meaning of Christmas and not all this commercialized stuff. I don't want her to celebrate to Easter Bunny either. I want to teach my child the real meaning of Christmas and Easter. I don't want my child to celebrate Holloween either. As evil as the devil is, I don't want to give him one day out of the year to celebrate.

So, being a Christian, I feel like the above yet, on the other hand, I think about things like the story of Little Red Riding hood and Cinderella and The Three Little Pigs and those stories are real, but we read them to our children away. Sometimes, I think to myself, what's the harm teaching my child Santa Claus.

I don't want to damage my child Pschologically if all of her friends are celebrating Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Holloween. What do you think? Should I just teach my child that as Christians, we have to not follow the world's view of things but destinguish ourselves.

I was discussing it with a gay male friend earlier today--a friend said that she liked my shoes and he replied, "I made her by them, aren't they fabulous?"

You know, every time I've ever used the word fabulous, people look at me weird. Why aren't lesbians allowed to say fabulous, lol? And are their any primarily lesbian words? If so... I haven't heard them.

: )

Everyone says that the Muslim Community doesn't have the courage to stand up AGAINST terrorism. And honestly, it is partially true. We need to stand up against Terrorism. So how many of you muslims out there would be open to a Protest against terrorism. Or better yet, starting some kind of a foundation or organization. I seriously think we need to take the first step.. any ideas?

im confused =)
i dont follow any religions
what they say and claim interests me but i dont really believe them, however i am open minded to the fact that anything could be true, we just dont know, end of.
also, im not really atheist because, although i dont have a religion, i dont necesarily believe in there being absolutely nothing supernatural about this world. i think there probably is, just not in the religious form. (why does everything supernatural have to be religious?! anywaysss..)
and i dont think im agnostic because its not like im undecided, i know how i feel about religion and i know how i feel about atheism

what am I!?

I know that a lot of good came from Jesus and His teachings but do you have reason to question some of the dogmas and teachings of Christianity when reading about the Council of Nicea? Do you trust that truth was priority when a pagan emperor and 300 bishops came together that day to establish what Christians were to believe??

For the supporters of prayer in public school, what is your motivation? From what I understand, a prayer does not need to be said as a group and it does not need to be said aloud even. So what is the motivation behind the argument for organized prayer in public schools given that it doesn't increase the potency of the prayer?

Not only that but:

"Biblical literalists engage in a seductive form of idolatry" (i.e., bibliolatry).
Biblical literalists are heretics.
Biblical literalists are hypocrites.
Biblical literalists contradict each other.
Biblical literalism is anti-intellectual.
Biblical literalism is in conflict with the cultural context of scriptures.
Biblical literalism is akin to sexism.
Taking a literalist stance on biblical violence promotes violence.
The quoting of Bible scriptures to justify certain actions or ethics or beliefs is not always clear or obvious (i.e., characteristic of biblical casuistry). The use of scripture is often used to reduce critical examination or reasoning and can obscure unethical messages.

It's all shown here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_literalism

What should I do?
