I'm 19 and I'm a girl. I feel very confused. I've gone through periods of time when I was attracted to both women and men. Then times when it was only men. I also go through days when I feel very feminine and others when I feel masculine. But most days, I feel neither extremely feminine nor masculine...just in between. I'm very self conscious of how I walk and talk...I try to appear as feminine as I can but it's hard sometimes.

What's wrong with me? Why am I like this?

you are young, and finding yourself.... dont make any rash decisions, and ride it out.......dont judge yourself too harshly, or allow others judgment to affect you.....we are human and unique, and as long as you arent hurting anyone.....well.... hope this helps.........

It's okay to be confused about things as long as you know you're not harming anyone else with your actions. It doesn't matter if you're feminine or masculine, it's great to be a bit of both. People who are excessively feminine or masculine usually end up quite annoying. It's tough being self conscious and paranoid, try to analyse things as objectively and calmly as possible, mostly other people are as confused and obsessive about themselves and not really noticing all the little things about other people, it's how society doesn't fall apart. Hope you work things out.

There could be several things going on. The feeling masculine/feeling feminine thing COULD mean you're genderqueer, or it could just depend on your monthly cycle and the different hormone levels.

Now, here's a thought: you could be a transgender drag queen. In other words, you could be a gay man in a woman's body who is interested in cross dressing. I've heard of it in very rare instances.

But really, you don't need a label for yourself. Be who you are. If you really hate being physically female, you could wait it out a bit and if you STILL hate it get hormone injections.

Good luck!

You don't have to identify your self in one catagory, everyone is a mix between two entities. Just roll with it, nothing's wrong with you. I suggest reading a few biographys of sexually adjusted people to feel comfortable with yourself
