This is something I've been thinking about. I'm 24, single and most of my friends are either married, engaged, or seriously dating someone.

I don't feel ready to get married - not sure if I ever will be. But how do you deal with the sexual frustration of remaining single?

God wants us to remain pure, which seems easier to do if you just have to wait 'x' years. But how do you deal with it while believing you might be single your whole life?

(Serious answers only please.)

I had just answered another question concerning how Pagans celebrate Christmas and something did occur to me. I know Celts use the Mistletoe during this time... it was considered a Sacred plant to the Druids... but according to the Northern Traditions I am not sure. Considering the story of Loki aiming the arrow that killed Baldr (spelling? I see these names spelled so many different ways I'm still unsure of them), is mistletoe left out during Yule because of this? Or did it transfer from the Celts (as their cultures mingle greatly in several different areas)?

Now I know, in some references, mistletoe isn't considered Sacred even to some Celts. I am using this more in the modern sense, since many do include it as a sacred plant.

I know waitresses make almost all their money off tips, but don't hairdressers make a regular wage?? I just dropped fifteen bucks on a ten minute trim, that seems like more than enough payment to me!

What about other professions?

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to be cheap, but I work just as hard for my own money...

Can you tell me how a Sephardi synagogue differs - if it does differ at all - from an Ashkenazi synagogue?

Also, are there any differences in how you practise Judaism to how I, as an Ashkenazi Jew, follow the religion? I'm assuming there are no major differences, but I heard that you can eat things over Pesach, for instance, that we can't.....???

Shanah tovah to you also!

For those of you who don't know, this blessing is a sanctioned type of horoscope in a way. Of course the Mormons would never refer to it as such, but it was called a "roadmap to your life" many times when I was in LDS Sunday School, and the basic principle is that God will inspire a patriarch to talk about your life in particular, and predict events that will happen.

My own blessing talked extensively about Army barracks, which is very coincidental, since I told my patriarch I would go for Army duty for life. I got out of active service a couple years later, and barracks are really not an option anyore for me.

Anyway, back to my question. My paternal grandfather died recently, and we were cleaning out his house the other day for my grandmother, and we found his blessing. It very clearly states that if he "followed the teachings of the church", he would LIVE to see the 2nd coming of the Lord. I know this is not a rare blessing. There was a speaker in church talking... DEFINITION:Proselytism is the practice of attempting to convert people to another opinion, usually another religion..................My personal opinion is this, who do you think you are to try and convert other people to your religion? Everyone is entitled to their own belief. I am an athiest and even though I don't believe in gods and deities, I accept everyone for what they believe in or lack there of. And I better stop typing right now because I could talk religion all day! Looking forward to reading your posts!

... judging the divorced person as an adulterer if they remarry.

Mat 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except [it be] for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

and why do Christians so frequently allow divorced and remarried adulterers into their congregations while actively excluding gay people? is one sin worse than the other?
if so ... how so, when there's no record of Jesus condemning gay people but Bible verses of him specificly condemning divorce?

PS. and please don't give me that "Christians are sinners but forgiven sinners" routine. Christians can't use loophole while they're pointing condemning fingers at gay people. Jesus apparently had a specific loathing for hypocrites so saved sinners passing judgement on other sinners sure wouldn't wash with Jesus.

thanked, they thank the others) or no thankyou, as in no thank-yous necessary (like saying no salt kind of format)? I know this is a random question but you know how "no thank-you's" are like daily things that people say but I personally think they're kinda used wrong...I mean like say someone gives you a candy, why would someone say "No thank-you"? It doesn't make sense if you take it literally you know?

Just learned that some people at work have been taking lunch or food that doesn't belong to them. It hasn't happened to me but hearing that even if container is clearly marked, others will just take it and eat all the food.
Does anyone know of something that when added to food makes someone sick (stomach pains & Diarhhea sick - not really sick or death)
Thinking I might need to do the Ex-Lax brownies but would prefer to add something to already half eaten food and teach someone a lesson if they decide to swipe it.
