The New Jerusalem Bible got the Book's of Wisdom where other Holy Bible's don't have. The New Revised Standard Version got the Apocryphal/Deuterocanonical Books (don't ask me, I don't know what it means) and other Bible's don't have it. The NJB I just bought it and the NRSV is borrowed from the Library.
The NRSV Revelation 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book; if anyone takes away from the words of the Book of this prophesy, God will take away that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this Book.

So this 2 bible's got it and the other's don't. Does that fall under the scriptures mentioned in Revelation???

they kill a christian we kill a muslim, and do it the same way they did.
i am talking about the people all over the world who kill anyone , Like in the old Soviet republics, And Iraq, and Iran, Lebanon, south america, etc.
Thier "Koran" instructs them to "Convert through the Sword" and if the Jewish People"GODS CHOSEN" had followed Gods orders there would be no Muslims.
The reason I ask is to find out how we should respond to the Political Correctness that is sweeping the world.
Jesus, was a man of peace, and yes i believe that he is God.
But he wasn't a peacefull man, remember the money changers, and he was so mad that he THREW THEM out of The TEMPLE.
And the quote he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword, was a warning that , volence begets violence.
Not him saying that "You better not do that!"
god loves mankind, but if you read Revilation, you'll find that God can also become very angry, and will hand out alot of severe punishment, to all that don't accept Jesus the Christ, as thier personal lord and savior.
Not just the "bad people".

If you believe that Joseph had children from a prior marriage, where did they sleep during Jesus' birth?

If you believe that Mary had no other children, how are James, Joses, Simon, Judas and Salome related to Jesus?

If you need references, here is a list of them that you can read yourself: http://www.mountainretreatorg.net/faq/sisters.html

Remember the story in John where Jesus saves an adulterous woman saying, "Let the one who is with out sin cast the first stone"?

The Bible says of the adulterous woman, "And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto [Jesus] a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, **in the very act**."

Caught in the very act? It it takes two to tango. Where is the man in this equation? Did he already receive his stoning? Or did men not get stoned for scandalous behavior back in JC's day?

Or did the Bible authors just hate women?

The idea of a hug is good, but an actual hug is better. Therefore, since God is all-good He must exist because a God that exists is better than merely the concept of a God.

One of my co-workers smells so bad my mgrs had to put her in a separate office because people complained. He never even told her why. She eminates this combination of BO and fish smell. I think someone should tell her so she can fix the problem but I don't know how to do so without hurting her feelings. I would want someone to tell me, wouldn't you?

But don't tell me "we have to educate them". Homophobia is an irrational belief and no amount of education can change that. There must be some other way to change these disgusting immoral people.

I have to wonder, with all the fighting and dissension on this site, wouldn't that just turn a person off of wanting to convert?
I have my own convictions and I am respectful of others' decisions. I think it is really sad when people give others thumbs down for expressing those. How else are we going to know what makes a Christian or an Atheist tick? If we have no information and go on supposition or pre-conceived notions, that makes us narrow-minded, ignorant and obnoxious. I have learned a lot about both sides from this site and I don't know how many of the people who respond on here, I would be willing to meet in person.

Mark 3:28 "I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. 29 But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

Biblical interpretation problem here. In 1 John 1:9, we learn that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
