they kill a christian we kill a muslim, and do it the same way they did.
i am talking about the people all over the world who kill anyone , Like in the old Soviet republics, And Iraq, and Iran, Lebanon, south america, etc.
Thier "Koran" instructs them to "Convert through the Sword" and if the Jewish People"GODS CHOSEN" had followed Gods orders there would be no Muslims.
The reason I ask is to find out how we should respond to the Political Correctness that is sweeping the world.
Jesus, was a man of peace, and yes i believe that he is God.
But he wasn't a peacefull man, remember the money changers, and he was so mad that he THREW THEM out of The TEMPLE.
And the quote he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword, was a warning that , volence begets violence.
Not him saying that "You better not do that!"
god loves mankind, but if you read Revilation, you'll find that God can also become very angry, and will hand out alot of severe punishment, to all that don't accept Jesus the Christ, as thier personal lord and savior.
Not just the "bad people".

if any of you read my details, you would see that this is a rhetorical question designed to invoke deep thought, "IAM NOT A HATER".
I belive that you should treat others as you wish to be treated.
But in revelation, it says that god will send ALL that do not accept Jesus as personal savior "WILL BE THROWN INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE" period end of discussion.

"They"?

Years ago, we began dropping bombs on innocent civilians, and rounded many up, torturing, raping, even murdering some of them.

Therefore, by your line of reasoning, in your first few sentences, that justifies "them" killing any of "us."

The Koran does NOT instruct "them" to "convert through the sword" -- the people who told you that were lying to you.

What "Political Correctness that is sweeping the world"? Not the world I live in. Seems as brutral and hate-filled as ever (well, I think it's slowly getting a little better).

I think you aren't very clear as to what you're trying to ask (if you're asking anything at all -- if not, then you need to submit answers, not questions).

Maybe think it through a bit, and figure out what your question is, then try again.

BTW, not everyone believes in god or Jesus-as-God.

I don't think any one should treat anyone the way one other person has treated them. but i do believe that is where God also speaks of how the measures you take with your children is the same measures that the Lord will use with you, but I believe that it is in general how you treat people with hate disregard anger inpatient or what ever the deal is God will treat us the same way. I also believe that he who lives by the sword, dies by the sword is in reference to the general idea that God will deal with you as you have dealt with others. The Lord was of peace and love to all, you also have to remember that God has standards that are above and beyond what we can imagine and God expects us to live by those standard or he will place judgment on us in his own way. And for some of us our just punishment will be severe and we will face God all alone and we will have to be accountable for our actions in situations of life here on earth rather treatment is good or bad toward us we have to handle it in a Godly manner as Christ would handle it. that is where the saying be Christ like.
GOD BLESS read gods word take heed to the Lord let God guide you and make your path straight and narrow. focus on the Lord FIRST!!!!

Jesus had every right to throw them out of the temple. They were defiling His Father's house. We should treat everyone with love. But I believe if your life or your family are threatened you have the right to defend yourself. The Bible say's not to shed INNOCENT blood. So if you just go kill somebody who was not threatening you that is innocent blood.

I think there's an eternal rule of life saying "Hatred will not be appeased by hatred. Hatred can only be appeased by loving-kindness." i know this is doable. But, it's really hard to do. Anyway, when it comes to treating the same way those people do to us, especially in bad ways. I personally don't think we shouldn't jump straight to that part. We can talk to them and clear things out.

However, if the person is very stubborn and keeps treating us in a bad way or even worse, then i think, it's time to stop them. With dignity. Make them feel ashamed of themselves. Not violently, but with wiseful ways. If they won't hear after you make them feel ashamed, then you could do what they did to you. But, remember, if you're intention is really genuine as in just wanting to stop their deeds, the results will hopefully turn out good.

Let me tell you my personal experience. This is one of my stories. There's this lady who's being very inconsiderate. She liked to rule and control everything. She really was and is still a control freak. She was and is the type of person who likes to justify her bad and incorrect deeds as correct ones, with whatever kinds of reasons. She's actually very good at debating. Anyway, what i was really pissed off is her behaviour. She really liked to make decisionsfor me without my knowing. Sometimes, the decisions she made on behalf of me, though without my consent nothing whatsoever, were very important ones, like what i wanna do for my own life, what cars i wanna buy by using my own money, etc. I can tell ya, she's a real control freak. I can't overstress this enough.
I tried to show very politely that she's not supposed to do what she's done to me. But, she just don't wanna care. She continued.

So, one day, when i couldn't tolerate her behavour any longer, i just tried to talk things out to her. I tried to describe her own behaviour as being very inconsiderate. But, suddenly, she got really mad and scolded me like "You've got no brain! And you're so ungrateful. Besides that, i think you're incapable of solving your own problems. So i've actually been trying to help you. And after all the good things i've done to you, is this what you're trying to do to me? Trying to make decisions on behalf of me!?!?" To which i asked back "There you can see very clearly right now! Isn't it what you did to me? I haven't made any decision for you anyway. I was just saying my opinion, just in a forceful way. And you said i've got no brain because of trying to make decision for you. but, what about yourself!?!? and, what about the facts, did i tell you about my answer of some of the things i'd considered to do?who's the one who did make decision for me anyway? did u have my consent? who's the one with no brain anyway?" She was totally dumbfounded. Since then, she dared not to talk to me cos she's too ashamed. But this lady is still very ignorant. She's still very stubborn and keeps insisting up untill now that the fact she's done good things to me. In reality, she can't help herself of not being a control freak.

It's " We should treat others
as WE treat OURSELVES ".

It's not, " as they treat us ".

If we treat ourselves good,
we should treat others good.
