Do we keep our bodies? Or are we just souls like "ghost"?

Your body is Earthly and you will have to give it up.
Your soul goes to heaven and your body of which you have no more use is left with your grieving relatives and friends. Our souls come to Earth many times, take new bodies, and live and learn. When all our learning is done we stay in heaven.

We will not need bodies there. Heaven is a glorious place for all and we will see our loved ones and pets there.

A ghost is a spirit (soul) who have not passed to the other side (heaven). For some reason they are trapped here and did not follow the light to the other side. They generally have unfinished business here or don't want to leave loved ones.

Dying is just a part of live and nothing to fear.

For right now, our bodies remain in the ground.
Souls are not like ghosts. Because our soul is our very intellect,
our emotions, memories, feelings, etc. The soul is what we often call our mind.
It is our spirit and soul that goes to heaven (provided we're born again).
Then on Resurrection day our spirit and soul is reunited with our body. It will actually be like Jesus' body after He was ressurected. We shall live forever, never get sick, never grow old, and then, at that time we will be sinless.

At death our spirit separates from the physical body and goes to the spirit world to continue our growth and development. At some point all will be resurrected just as Jesus Christ was. The resurrection is when your spirit body is reunited with your physical body (which has been perfected) never to be separated again. There are many scriptures that help make this clear -- I've included a few below.

If this were to happen, I don't think anyone knows if the ascent takes place with the body or if its purely spiritual...That's why there's such controversy over the finding of a tomb that could possibly be that of Jesus of Nazareth

When this physical body is done for, you keep your astral body or subtle body. It appears ghostly to one who is living in a physical body but to those on that higher plane of existence, it seems real and solid enough.
This astral body has been called a lot of names; light body, seamless robe, soul vehicle etc
Those who die suddenly are often confused about where they find themselves because to them they are still alive.

A lot of folks don't know they are dead for quite some time. You can manifest a similar body but you'll find there's no need to do so.

The bible teaches that we will receive new bodies, imperishable. Not like the ones we have now, that age, get sick, etc. We will be perfect, inside and out.

There is no such place, and no 'soul' - i.e. no part of your body can survive your death. When you die, that is the end of you.
