I love the Irish and i could have got into a lot of trouble with that accent last year....if it wasn't for my other half. Tut.
Having said that, which part do you know best? Southern or northern? We we're actually staying with a now ex friend in southern Ireland. He was a right bully!! Seriously strict. My children couldn't breathe for him getting at them. To wake me and my son up one morning he literally picked the poor thing up and dropped him from a height right on top of me while we were both asleep. Ouch. No more friend.
I think the northern accent and the people are far more sexier and easy going. Don't care much for what i saw in the south.

Lovely Irish Lilt. The rest is the stereotypical image I see on the box they all have a great sense of humour and are into gambling and drinking but is mostly wrong.

I'm definatley not retarded, my IQ is 180, I have never been to a bog, never mind stomped on one, I don't have a pug nose, I am 5ft8, but hey, I do drink a lot.........

I think they have better personalities and i love their accent.
I've been to Ireland a thousand times and some of my family are irish too.
I even like advert about it too.
