Has anyone out there listened to ""Catholic Answers Live""? "Catholic Answers Live" is a 2-hr call-in radio show (similiar to the Bible Answer Man), and every show covers different topics. Once a month they dedicate a show for non-Catholics to call in. Here is a link to this months archived show ( in mp3 format):

Has anyone ever listened to "Catholic Answers Live"? I invite my non-Catholic Christian brothers/sister to listen to this link, because it is a great exampl of how Catholics and Protestants can speak to each othe politely and in the spirit of Christian charity to discuss our differences.

Or do you claim that they don't have the true religion and are therefore inferior?

Any ideas for an original christening gift? I've got 2 coming up in the next couple of weeks (one boy & one girl) and am stuck for gift ideas.
The last one I went to I thought I was being really original by getting a silver plated tooth and curl box, turns out they got about 6 of these! I want to avoid this but I need help!

Islam is not a harmful religion by ANY means. Like any other religion, it teaches its people to defend itself when its being attacked, whether the muslim countries or the religion itself.

Now listen to this: People always, ALWAYS confuse a religion with its so-called "people". I quote the word "people" because many of these "muslims" who go around saying that theyre proud or grateful about the 9/11 attacks are not muslims at all, because Islam would never permit that unless America DIRECTLY attacked Iraq, like they are doing now, bombing its people endlessly.

Islam is a peaceful religion. Please, PLEASE DO NOT, like i said above, confuse it with people who walk around calling themselves muslims. Like any other religion, people who say they follow it are not always carrying that religion around truly in their hearts.

If you have some sort of issue with Islam, go and find out more about it rather than believing everything you see on CNN.

It was a nice sunny morning getting ready to take my daughter to school Elementary at the time doing the same routine and her watching her kid shows when I decided to change the channel to see what the weather would be like the rest of the day then that's when I saw the first tower on fire all I knew at the time was the same as rest of America that a small plane or Jet hit the Tower. Then I turned it off took her to school and when I came back turned to news back on to see what become of it then that's when I saw the other plane dive into the other Tower it was surreal I woke hubby up on his off day to let him know that New York was under attack from who noone knew and from that time on we kept the TV on the news the whole day and nite it was hard for us the next month we prayed for everyone and anyone who had family as far as i knew we didn't have any family or friends living in New York. God Bless them all.

I had started a new job that morning, and was in the middle of an orientation. The moderator left the room for a few minutes, came back, and told us that the World Trade Center had been attacked, as well as the Pentagon. We retreated to an area where we were able to watch it all unfold on TV. The enormity of it all hit me that night, as I sat and watched people leaping to their deaths from dozens of stories up, while I sat comfortably on my couch. I felt both sad and guilty.

It was a surreal experience, and one I hope I never have to go through again.

On this day above all, I hope that all of us -- regardless of your beliefs or practices -- are able to find peace.

Should the occasion be marked by everyone with a few moments of quiet reflection on the evil people will sometimes do in the name of religion?

And we might usefully use the time to remember that 9/11 wasn't the first atrocity perpetrated in the name of religion, and it won't be the last.

Your thoughts?

Now let me explain something to those of you who may have faith but are very simplistic and don't understand the enormous and complex reality that we live in. There are many people out there whos intellects are pretty much huge, and can blow us out of the water, they design economic structures, affect the world system, own lots of money and are generally very powerful people.

How they operate? Million of thoughts a minute, very fast paced, and if they use their thoughts and abilities for evil, they can accomplish lots and fool many, to get their way. Agressive I guess.

This somewhat describes the devil, out there like a "roaming lion" seeking to devour whoever, yadda yadda.
there are many faithless people out there, who ONLY get by on their intellect.

How do you fight something that's so strong? You can't really go to a corporation and blow it up LOL.

My faith made me a bit "different," and that made people laugh at me, because I seemed out of the norm.

:sigh:

I don't understand why. And if I tell my friends I'm not opposed to abortion then they say I'm a cruel guy. But what if you are a rape victim, 18 years old with no family to turn to? Then what?

You never cuddled the baby, you never breast-fed it, you never played with it, you never heard it's first words. You don't know one thing about it, except that it's a baby.

I'm talking about the 3,000+ civilians (non-combatants) who died in Afghanistan and the 70,000+ civilians who have thus far died in Iraq.

I know it's important to remember the Americans who lost their lives in the attack on the World Trade Center. However, the wars we have started as a result of 9/11 have killed more innocent people than were killed in the World Trade Center attacks.

I think we ought to remember those innocents as well.

In the most recent video/audio message from Osama Bin Laden, he called for a caravan of martyrs to "aid...the Omnipotent." Doesn't this seem like a contradiction? IF "Allah" is omnipotent, why would he/she/it need "aid"? Seems to me that Allah needs to be continually propped up (as any idol is). If "Allah" (or whoever he/she or it is) wants infidels killed of expelled from Islamic lands why can't he/she/it do it him/her/itself? If a "god" boasts of strength, then let its strength be revealed by its own work and not that of those who profess, propagate or invent the dogmas and doctrines concerning this deity.

I have this major part-time job opportunity and they wanted me to "dress smart". I am meeting with top executives so I don't want to mess up by wearing too much business-like clothing or something.

I am a student in College (not in business school) and this is the first time I'll be doing this kind of thing.

I still can't believe that happened. I feel for everyone who has suffered from this tragedy. I am Canadian, and I can still remember coming home early that day and watching this still very unbelieveable event unfold on live tv. Everyone in America should get this day off to remember and to do something good for someone...Like cook the most amazing dinner and dessert for your local police / firefighters / paramedics who tried their hardest to save lives. Bless you all, <3
