"Religion (emulation of adults by the child) encysts past mythologies: guesses, hidden assumptions of trust in the universe, pronouncements made in search of personal power, all mingled with shreds of enlightenment. And always an unspoken commandment: Thou shalt not question! "

Ask away. Why are you afraid to ask? Just because some nimrod might get offended and report you?
Big deal...getting reported. Been there, done that, don't give a rat's hind parts. I've even lost my Y/A account. Yawwwwn.
I think about what I believe often. But they are POSITIVE thoughts. In my case, there's NOTHING you could ask that I haven't heard before and I've NEVER doubted my belief. In the hardest of times, it's my FAITH that has been strengthened and strengthened ME when I've turned to my God for help handling difficult situations.
(Christian since 1964, Bible teacher since 1988)
Go ahead, ask me PERSONALLY.

I'm a former Christian, and as far as I'm concerned, you certainly do have that right. In fact, one might argue you have that duty, in the sense of being true to what you believe. But you must do it with good manners. Then if you get reported, the person who reports you is in the wrong, and loses "face" in the new rules (actually, newly promulgated rules; it has been this way in the background for some time) and may themselves be deleted.

You go man, they're always learning a little, shaken and qua-ken in they're beliefs. It's a brick-wall the bricks are Christians who believe in evolution and the mortar are Christians who believe in the literal word, and the earth is only 6000 yrs old. My head hurts sometimes too but I've seen the cracks in the wall, keep going( Till the walls come tumbling down ).

Chances are, there's no question you're going to conjure up that I haven't read before and answered. Try asking something original once in a while. Rehashing all the usual, standard bilge gets tiring after a while.

I can only answer, as a Christian, for myself. Ask me whatever you want, provided you show a little respect for my heritage, my culture, and my beliefs.
I know that some "Christians" do not do that. They try to act smart by presenting themselves as somehow intellectually and morally superior to atheists. I hate that. I also hate when non-Christians do that to us.
There are stupid and nasty people who call themselves Christians, and there are stupid and nasty atheists too. Some atheists are nice people.
The only trouble with being an atheist is that there is nobody to talk to when you're having an orgasm.

No, because "Thou shalt not think" is one of the Ten Commandments.
Come on, what do you think?
Ask away, my friend, but keep in mind that some of us are here to have our faith challenged...and so far, I have yet to find anyone who has challenged my newfound faith sufficiently as to lead me to doubt.

Hello!
Ask what you want certainly. My beliefs are strong. I'm always interested in the thoughts of other people, but that doesn't damage my own belief system.
The same is true for aethists on this forum. We (Christians) try, but it appears that we're not changing beliefs either.
Discussion is good.
Do you know where you'll spend eternity?
Read Romans.
In Christ,

If that persons faith is strong enough you do not have the power to make them quesiton it. Keep in mind though religion is VERY personal so don't shove your beliefs down others throats and ALWAYS respect the opinions of others!

Where I live, you can ask any question you like without fear of trouble. No matter what religion you are. In other counties you might be persecuted
