It was a nice sunny morning getting ready to take my daughter to school Elementary at the time doing the same routine and her watching her kid shows when I decided to change the channel to see what the weather would be like the rest of the day then that's when I saw the first tower on fire all I knew at the time was the same as rest of America that a small plane or Jet hit the Tower. Then I turned it off took her to school and when I came back turned to news back on to see what become of it then that's when I saw the other plane dive into the other Tower it was surreal I woke hubby up on his off day to let him know that New York was under attack from who noone knew and from that time on we kept the TV on the news the whole day and nite it was hard for us the next month we prayed for everyone and anyone who had family as far as i knew we didn't have any family or friends living in New York. God Bless them all.

At this time 6 years ago I was here at work when the radio broke in with a bulliten that a plane crashed into the World Trade Center,I got calls from my wife and son(he was home schooled) and the day was slow motion report after report.
Was this the same eriee feeling people had with the Orson Wells" War Of The World" prank?
But this was no prank, the video on line the radio reports, live T.V. streams.
Yes I was here at work and today I am at the same desk with the same radio on,just a moment to remember.

I was sitting in my history class...when my teacher got a phone call from her husband (he worked in the towers) ...which was a story in itself, as we later found out... When she said "Is everyone okay?" I thought that he had gotten into a car accident, but the look on her face was unsettling. It wasn't until three hours later (around 12) that any of my teachers had told me what happened... I didn't see any of the planes hit. When I asked my teacher "What happened to the Twin Towers?" (Having not been allowed to turn on the TVs...we just though a plane had hit it, big deal) she said "There are no Twin Towers" and refused to tell us any more....

Kids were being taken out of class all day, we didn't know what was going on, none of the teachers were telling us...I came home and watched it on the news in complete shock, and continued to watch the coverage for days afterward.

A few weeks later we attended a memorial service at Saint Patrick's for my cousin, a firefighter who was killed as a first responder.

That being said: After September 11th, I was never afraid to be in Manhattan, and I haven't been since... it was indescribable to be there, and see all of the missing signs, and the dirt, and to walk up to where the Twin Towers were a year later and just see a hole in the ground....If you stood at the base of the Towers and looked up, you could hardly see the tops of them...

I was in English class my sophomore year of highschool. We didn't really do any work, we just listened to the radio. Their was alot of christian music being played on the stations. I remember this girl was praying with other students in the classroom. I was scared of the possibities of something worst after the attacks. After we heard the radio, the teacher turned the radio of and let us watch the news on the television. The two towers were on fire and was shocked when I saw that one by one they fell to the ground. That was a very scary day.

I was sitting in my ambulance when a friend called and told me that a plane hit the World Trade Center in NY. I said "yeah, right" not believeing it because this person was such a practical joker. When we got to the station we saw it, not long afterwards we were put on high alert. The world was forever changed that day, so was my job. It was considered fairly safe till then. Glad I wasn't with my brothers in NY, God bless 'em all! We will NEVER forget....

I was in Math class in College. We didn't know what was going on, just rumors, then around 10 am everyone was released to go home...i live on Long Island, about 45 minutes from ground-0. I remember going home and seeing my mom crying watching the TV. Something you'll never forget.
God Bless all of the families of the victims of 911.

I was making breakfast for myself and I turned on the news and saw the first tower on fire and the plane striking the second one. I knew immediately what was happening and that muslims were responsible for it. We're still waiting for justice.
