I still can't believe that happened. I feel for everyone who has suffered from this tragedy. I am Canadian, and I can still remember coming home early that day and watching this still very unbelieveable event unfold on live tv. Everyone in America should get this day off to remember and to do something good for someone...Like cook the most amazing dinner and dessert for your local police / firefighters / paramedics who tried their hardest to save lives. Bless you all, <3

First, thank you for showing your support. Its nice to see our allies outside of America showing their support.

As for what I am doing? Going to work for my country, and remembering what happened. If we took a day off we give more credit to the terrorists, and we don't really need any more holidays. I do agree we should give thanks to our local police, firefighters, and paramedics. Not just for their hard work on 9/11 though, but for the hard and difficult job they face every day.

I'm going to do the exact same thing that I did on September 11, 2001 - work, pray for the families of those who lost their lives six years ago and then go home and cook dinner. I will also be quite grateful that we haven't had another large scale attack and hope that this trend continues.

A local radio station is encouraging people to go out and do at least one good deed today. The lady on the radio was at a local convenience store, paying for people's purchases until she ran out of money. She would buy their gas, or their chocolate milk or whatever they were getting.

I am planning to deliver a birthday gift to a girl who has this unfortunate day for her birthday.

I saw a web site about that. The idea is to commemorate those who died, and specifically those who were heroic in the rescue operation. A donation to your local fire department would certainly be in order, or just doing some act of charity (feed a poor person, help out at the local soup kitchen or homeless shelter) that is done in memory of those heroes.

I believe most of us Americans will put up our flags to honor them and that is a good idea you suggested.
