Part of my prayer every morning is "Lord please, help me to help others". I really mean it. I have this urge to help others and I don't know how to start. I want to help in big, big ways, specially financially, I am broke myself but I have hope that the Lord will provide. Any suggestion on how to start helping others one on one? Thanks and God bless.

Narrowminded people. I see alot of atheists say there is no proof for ghosts. So what do eye witness accounts, photographs, EVP, and vidoes count as. Now you will say "Have they been scientificlly validated?". No. But because of skeptics that prevent proper study. I would love to see something like that looked into more. could it all be faked? Sure. But we don't know that for sure do we. Christians do the same thing with things like stem cell research. Sure stem cells are more important, but is it any different than not studying ghosts? I really think narrowminded people are holding back science to no end. It's like insisting the earth is the center of the universe. Let's all expand our minds and look into the facts.

I think so. A lot of the myths used to be religions, and the religions that are still around have a lot of myths in them, like the creation myth and the flood myth.

through many of my experiences and oberservations it seems that religion just causes hate and conflict all over the world. if you think about it, does it really matter if god exists or not? just try to be the best person you can. if there is a god, he or she will approve and you can be with him or her for all eternity. if there is no god, you can die at least knowing you were a good person. is it so wrong not to care??

I was reading the Bible for any material I can use for an anime story I'm writing and I ran across something about Seven Seals in the Book of Revelations. Unfortunately I forgot what happened when each seal was broken and I don't have a Bible anywhere near me.

Can anyone give me a brief, simple, summarization of what happened after each seal was broken?

why is it that India's goverment help the poor and poorer people at least get some clean water? Or even the Movie stars they are very wealthy if not that then why cant we just adopt the childrens whose parents are unable to afford them?

I think that justice is just self-righteous vengeance. The only righteous way to handle a crime is to attempt to teach the criminal to not do bad stuff, so he and everyone else can be happier.

For example, I have heard people say that Christians who accept evolution or don't have a problem with premarital sex aren't really Christians, as well as people maintaining that Catholics who are okay with birth control aren't really Catholics. Why is this? Just because you don't agree with ALL of the general beliefs of a religion or belief system you can't identify with that religion or belief system? Sounds silly to me.

Let me give an example. I live in the USA, and I identify with one of the two major political parties here in my country. I won't say which one, because this isn't the politics forum and I don't want to get sidetracked. Nonetheless, I identify with one of the parties; however, I do not agree with all of the general beliefs of that party. But I still call myself a member of that party. Not all Republicans are pro-choice, but those Republicans still call themselves so because their overall beliefs reflect that of a Republican.

See my point?

I live in the bible belt. Everywhere you turn you see new churches being built. Is this truly the way to show god you love him? In ACTS it says god isn't in any temple created by man's hands. Can anyone explain the need for multi-million dollar churches?

When a minor such as o say 13 12 14 or possibly 15 or 16 ask questions like.Should i smoke pot or drink beer or say..hm...Have sex. And the o so brilliant people who sya yea sure of course its fun i do it. ANyone feel these people are immature,Not the sharpest crayon in the box, wackjobs. It ticks me off ive i med so many people saying *Clap*Clap* encourage a minior to ruin their lives *clap*clap* Good job. Our society is getting flushed. And i a christian and many others feel very meloncholy on this situation..Any others feel the same?
