We all make mistakes and obviously these young adults are.
You don't have to be a Christian to have morals and brains about what is wrong or right to do.
I am not Christian, but I am bringing my children to question themselves before doing something they are unsure is right or wrong.
Well done you sound like you have yourself together and you are acting very mature with the choices you are making for your life.

I did alot of those things when I was 15 and up and regret (now that I'm in my 40s) that I grew up too fast. Plus there are alot of things that I can't tell my son that I did when I was his age that I did.
I have a son that will be 18 in about 2 weeks and he is not a Christian (he's Agnostic) and he decided on his own in high school by seeing his friend's doing things, not to have sex while he was in high school. We talked alot about his decision and he said it just seemed that people would have sex and then they wouldn't go out anymore and that didn't seem right to him, so he decided that he didn't want to do that unless it was with someone he really loved and he didn't think that he was really ready to do that anyway. He also talked about how friends of his used pot or drank but he didn't really want to do that. I talked to him about how alcoholism runs in our family and how he should be very aware of that because it could be genetic and he just says he doesn't want to do it. I let him have a beer or a champagne on New Year's for the last year or two but he isn't really interested in anything. He's a good young man and seems to have a good head on his shoulders.
He's now in his freshman year of college and isn't girl crazy, worked all summer, goes out with his friends (male and female) to see plays, movies and to eat, they go to each others houses to play board games and believe it or not....they aren't running around having sex with each other or drinking or smoking pot.......AND none of them give it a second thought!!! It's not something they miss because they are involved in other things and don't even think about it. So no meloncholy here, my friend.....just a well adjusted good young man that I am VERY proud of.

Well since your a Christan then you should understand this clearly. Many people today do anything for entertainment and pleasure. The reason for why there are so many immature folk around is because those immature folk are empty inside. They have nothing better to do, nothing worth looking forward to, they're just there. This is where Jesus comes in, he fills you up inside, he makes life so interesting and full of knowledge. You begin to see things you ordinarily wouldn't and feel things you ordinarily wouldn't. So when you know someone like that and they are with you always then you should feel very melancholy that others don't have what you have. You devote your life to introducing to everyone the happiness and joy that you posses named Jesus.

Two thoughts from the Bible come to mind.
1) Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13,14)
2) There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14: 12)

Plenty of people feel that way.
But, of course, whether or not you're correct in feeling that way is another matter entirely. I'd recommend giving the subject some actual thought, rather than just reacting automatically.

I feel the same way as you and I am a minor. Those idiots who say oh good job really shouldn't be giving minors advice.
