I'm trying to post a blog on my myspace and I want to make something clear and I just thought to myself how the heck do you say "do you get what I'm saying" in french or in any other language... tell me as many as you can... The correct spelling is "capisci?" (1), and it is Italian.
Translating 'understood' word to word into French, you could indeed say "compris?"
However, a remark, even if that does not apply here (you are not talking). When talking for example to a stranger, be very careful of your tone if you say "compris?", otherwise you will sound rude. "Compris?" is easily placed in a sentence to follow an order, which is not your intention. Or it may imply: do you understand what I'm saying ............. (stupid)?
I'd rather use "vu?" [= seen?] or "bien reçu?" [= did you receive me OK?]: a little bit softer, more neutral.
"pigé?" "capté?" and so an are quite familiar, slang like, and you don't necessarily know whom you are addressing. A blog is open to anyone and there are other ways to look cool and remain credible.

Here are some examples you just have to pick (they all mean the same thing but with a different intensity of voice)
T'as pige ce que j'tai dit?
T'as enregistre!
T'as saisi!
Compris!
@Bob, kapish is italian and not french.

In French the short version would be, ''compris?'' (understood?).
Some people will also use ''kapish?'' trying to sound Italian, even though that is totally not how they say it in Italian.
Another alternative is ''c'est clair? / est-ce clair?'' (is that clear?).
But really I would stick with just ''compris?'' and you should be fine.

You got Italian and French mixed up... "Capisci?" means "do you understand?" in ITALIAN, not in French.
