I was reading the Bible for any material I can use for an anime story I'm writing and I ran across something about Seven Seals in the Book of Revelations. Unfortunately I forgot what happened when each seal was broken and I don't have a Bible anywhere near me.

Can anyone give me a brief, simple, summarization of what happened after each seal was broken?

P.S.

I DON'T WANT INTERPRETATIONS NOR DO I WANT RUDE UNNECCESSARY COMMENTS. I AM MERELY ASKING FOR A SIMPLE LITERARY SUMMARY.

Let me get the bible down from the top of my desk... more in a second.

Ok, Revelations chapter 6:

1. a white horse shouts and rides in, it's rider has a bow and gets a crown, then rides off to win some more battles
2. a red horse shouts and its rider gts the power to take peace away from the earth so people kill each other, and gets a huge sword
3. a black horse shouts and comes in, its rider holds a scale and talks about rations of wheat and barley, and says not to damage wine or olive oil
4.a pale green horse comes in, ridden by Death and Hades follows him. They get 1/4 of the earth and power to kill with swords, famine, plague, and beasts
5.the martyrs cry out "How long will it be, holy and true master, before you sit in judgement and avenge our blood on the inhabitants of the earth?" then get a white robe and are told to be patient for just a bit longer
6.a huge earthquake, then the sun goes out and the moon turns red, then the stars fall out of the sky, which is divided, and all the mountains and islands are moved. Everyone on earth hides and cries out in agony

and now chapter 7:
an angel shouts to the other angels not to damage the earth until everyone gets the sign of god on their foreheads, and 144000 are marked (12000 from each of the 12 tribes), then everyone worships god

finally chapter 8 and the seal is now broken;
an angel spreads incense around then throws the censer to earth which causes an earthquake and a lot of storms, then seven trumpets blow and everyone cries out in fear because the four horsemen are coming

Revelation 8 the seven seals is a hot topic even has a movie about it.
Here goes, 7 angels, 7 trumpets.
Re 8:5 this angel gets this hot lava and hurls it to the earth this is also called the astroid chapter. This astroid burns up a third of everything from water to vegetation.
2nd angel throws this hot burning rock that is the size of a mountain. It goes in the sea. a third of the sea turns to blood.
Third of the people, boats, and fish die. They call this star or astroid wormwood. It is a real polution hazzard.
4th angel here again the sun and moon you can't see which would actually happen if there was an astroid.
then this angel says to bad for people on earth because of the rest of the angels.
5 angel is given a key to the abyss. this is where it really gets bad. He opens the abyss and smoke and fire and all bad stuff comes out. Then there is these Locust that are mean little suckers. They got tails like scorpions.
They don't kill people just torture them for 5 months.
That is how long a locust lives.
Anyway, they toment these men until they just want to die but will not be able to die.
These are some mean looking locust, they look like horses ready for battle. Crowns on their heads and men's faces and womens hair. In other words men with long hair.
With teeth like a lion. iron breast plates. The sound of their wings was as the sound of horses running into battle.
Their tails is like a scorpion. and it stings. They have over them a king. [I would assume it is Satan]
6th angel he is the one who brings the storms.
a third of the men die from the storms.
Then there is the horses, Red for blood, blue for something, yellow for sickness and another 1/3 dies.
horses represent 3 plauges. unleashed on mankind.
I think that's about it.

First seal = the man on a white horse; the conquerer.

Second seal = the man on a red horse; the one who was given the power to "take peace from the earth," or war.

Third seal = the man on a black horse; the measurer, famine.

Fourth seal = the man on a pale horse; death.

Fifth seal = the question and answer of the martyrs. "And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."

Sixth seal = "...earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places."

Seventh seal = the seal of the living God. The sealing, or listing, of "the servants of our God in their foreheads." During which time, the angels charged "to hurt the earth and the sea," were told not to until the servents had been sealed. Then, "...when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour." After which the trumpet judgements begin.

All of the quotes are from the KJV.

The first four are the dispatching of four horses with their riders. The fifth is God's martyrs crying out for justice. The sixth seal represents a great earthquake. The seventh seal releases seven angels who sound seven trumpets.

The seven seals represent 7 Ages.
The 1st seal (1st age) white horse is Jesus
The 2nd seal (2nd age) the red horse is the great red dragon (Satan)
The 3rd seal (3rd age) is faimine
The 4th seal (4th age) is death
The 5th seal (5th age) is the time of the Jews, tribulation
The 6th seal (6th age) is the time of the Gentiles, great tribulation. Figs tree sheds untimely figs is WWII
The 7th seal (7 age) is the time of the unbelievers.

We are now at Revelation 8:5 and Revelation 17:17 they are both the same story except Revelation 12 starts at the beginning of the human race. After the 7 trumpet is sounded 7 utterance shall be spoken.

It is not as easy as it may seem to comply with your request because each seal is broke at the beginning of each age, not at the end of the age as some believe.
