I wear black most of the time. Black jacket, black trackies, black trainers. When I'm not all black, I wear jeans. I wear sunglasses and baseball caps.

I have a beard (some call it a goatee, some a soul patch. Either way, it's rather like a chin brazilian lol)

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. I'm pretty diverse, but I hate pop, country&western and most r'n'b.

So what kind of person do you have me down as, in terms of popular 'cultures'?

The Bible, Proverbs Chap 13. v 24.
We have spared the rod for 30 years. Now we have a generation of spoiled uncontrollable brats.
We have sown the wind ; now we are reaping the whirlwind.
Comments please?

I dislike the way the HAVE to say or write things the opposite to us such as Eye Rack, Eye Ran, Oh Fence, De Fence etc
Theater, Center, Favor etc.

In many instances, they change words just to be different. A few examples: Cookie, Sidewalk, Fender,Trunk, Hood, Gas (as in petrol), Jello/Jelly, Vacation, Stroller, Cellular etc.

Do they not realise that what they speak is E-N-G-L-I-S-H!!!!
They even have the audacity to tell us that certain words are pronounced Loo Tenant and NOT Left Tenant and Sked Ule instead of Shed Ule.

Why do they let monkeys design their cars? Look at the horrific designs from Chevrolet and Dodge they have sent over here.

Finally, they use the word for a type of quadruped for what they sit on (***) and call each other Dude (I HATE that word!) and Man even when addressing women. Randy Jackson on X Factor just makes me cringe with most of what he says. He should have an interpreter?

Other than that, I love Americans.

... What is the definition of "too much"?

Might some look at another who thinks "too much," and have the inverse opinion; that such individual doesn't think enough? And the question that would arise to that, would be...

... What is the definition of "not enough"?

And the final question that I am left with is...
Why would you tell someone either of these statements?

Thoughts...?

Whenever I lose it I say "he/she got my Irish up". Or, if someone is getting on my last nerve I say "you really don't want to get my Irish up".

Is there something like that in your culture, i.e. Italian, German, Dutch, etc.?

If so, what things do you store?

I'm interested in hearing about foods with almost indefinite storage. What do you store, and how do you use it?

Note: This is in R&S because preparedness is part of my religion + I know there are heaps of people hanging around in R&S who might have some useful info for me. Thanks!

Both claim to believe in the "One True God." They believe that their God's existence is obvious and all doubters are deceived.

Both claim possession of the sole Holy Book authored by that One True God.

They support this claim by citing vague prophecies or historical events (often inaccurate).

When flaws are found in that book, they claim that it is meant to be taken metaphorically, or a misreading, or taken out of context.

Both claim the "extremists" are not really of their faith.

Just wondering if you see the similarities?

I see nothing wrong with it. If two people love each other a lot and are willing to commit, they should, shouldn't they? Isn't love part of what Christianity is about? If anything should happen, like STDs, its their own fault, so why worry? I mean no one worries when people gets divorced or when a couple gets into a fight. I believe in existentialism, and that people are destined to do what ever they want. If you believe that the things we do is God's will, than we can't go a separate path than the one we have took because everything has already been predetermined. Its fate then. So whats the problem? Believing in God only supports gay unions more.

If you believe that they will go to hell, why are you worrying about someone elses behind. Its not like its gonna affect you in the afterlife. Not your soul, not your responsibility, but i can understand if you volunteer yourself.

What is there to do in a "heaven?" For those of you who think that heaven is a place to enjoy yourself by eating all you can eat or lounging around playing video games, you are sadly mistaken. Those are very "human" and hedonistic ideas which, as all Christians know, are not allowed by their god. So what does someone do? For those who go to church, I hope you enjoy it very much. Because in heaven, thats probably what you will do: Worship your god for eternity.

In hell, you will supposedly suffer for eternity in some ironic punishment or burning infernos.

Its a tough decision: Everlasting worship of god (with no breaks because you won't need them) or an eternity of 3rd degree burns. Which would you choose?

this kid on youtube is doing this charity where he has a swear jar and fills it with change for each swear he says. He encourages other people to make their own jar.

The goal is to raise money for "Homes for our troops" which makes houses tailored to the needs of disabled veterans.

Personally I think it's great and people should donate. But I want to know if you've heard of it and what you'll do now that you have.

the direct charity(the link is also posted on the video)
http://www.homesforourtroops.org/site/TR?px=1068401&pg=personal&fr_id=1070

it's not about supporting the war, it about supporting the troops.

Think...

If individuals can be likened to individual cells working together -- or NOT, in the instance of cancer -- to keep the body functioning as it should; to maintain the balance and integrity of the physical body. Then what significance might cancer within our bodies be on the grander scale of things?

What is cancer? (Answer from a website:: "Cancer is actually a group of many related diseases that all have to do with cells." || "Cancer happens when cells that are not normal grow and spread very fast. Normal body cells grow and divide and know to stop growing. Over time, they also die. Unlike these normal cells, cancer cells just continue to grow and divide out of control and don't die." || "Cancer cells usually group together to form tumors that can destroy the normal cells around the tumor and damage the body's healthy tissues.")

Might this have some spiritual significance within this world, and conflicts arising within it? Might we be giving the world (God) a form of cancer?
