i am bisexual, and i currently have a boyfriend (he doesn't know and he is christian) and i want to tell him, but i think being bi is against the rules according to christianity, i have really strong feelings for him, and don't want to lose him. if he found out, would he leave me? should i care if he did? i am so confused and i don't know what to do. please help me. thank you.

Well I guess that all depends on what kind of Christian he is. If he is Catholic or some form of conservative baptist you may get a negative reaction. However you might get a positive reaction anyway. Now I'm strait but I'll ask myself what if my girlfriend didnt like that I was strait and not bi. Well that just wouldn't work. So the reverse must also be true. Also having dated bi - girls (idk if there is a term for that) there is an issue of trust that can become problematic. It's possable that the male would become jealous for attention. It's also possable that he would not. But dont go changing yourself if that is truely how you are. That would living a lie.

To be a REAL Christian means to try to act the way Jesus Christ did, not blindly follow where current church leaders say.
The haters and intolerant who persecute any groups of people because of their differences are NOT true Christians.
I am bi, and a Christian, and I have never had any kind of moral dilemma or conflict as a result, because real followers of Christ are about love, not finding flaws and making rules to trap people.
If your BF belongs to a repressive denomination with hateful rules and public intolerance, well, people have been known to switch denominations. If he is the kind of person who would abandon someone who he loved for ANY reason, you don't want him.

Bisexuality is only against Christianity if your a fool and a jerk. Christians who warp the Bible's message of love and peace to a message of hate and intolerance don't deserve your love anyways.
I hope everything goes well.

It depends on his type of Christian. If he is Pentecostal, Baptist, or goes to a Magachurch -- in general you should go with your sense and not tell him.
If I were you I would be asking myself if that was really how I wanted to spend my life though -- in fear and hiding. I'm a Christian, but mainstream. Which reminds me, if he's Episcopalian, UCC, (most) United Methodists, ELCA, etc. go ahead and tell him, its probably alright.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

It is against the "rules," but it also against the rules for him to be dating a non-christian.... So I don't know, he might not even care.

I'm a heterosexual Christian. Would you break up with him if he were a sinner? But wait, he is. Everyone is a sinner, if not we'd be just like God.

Tell him and let the chips fall where they may... He will have more of an issue with you keeping secrets from him.
