I dislike the way the HAVE to say or write things the opposite to us such as Eye Rack, Eye Ran, Oh Fence, De Fence etc
Theater, Center, Favor etc.

In many instances, they change words just to be different. A few examples: Cookie, Sidewalk, Fender,Trunk, Hood, Gas (as in petrol), Jello/Jelly, Vacation, Stroller, Cellular etc.

Do they not realise that what they speak is E-N-G-L-I-S-H!!!!
They even have the audacity to tell us that certain words are pronounced Loo Tenant and NOT Left Tenant and Sked Ule instead of Shed Ule.

Why do they let monkeys design their cars? Look at the horrific designs from Chevrolet and Dodge they have sent over here.

Finally, they use the word for a type of quadruped for what they sit on (***) and call each other Dude (I HATE that word!) and Man even when addressing women. Randy Jackson on X Factor just makes me cringe with most of what he says. He should have an interpreter?

Other than that, I love Americans.

i actually hate questions that make us look for the bad in everyone, particularly in such a general way.

this question says more about you than it does about 'americans'. by the way, i am English.

I agree with what lenpol7 & peter o wrote.

The major problem of the Americans is their ignorance of other countries and people outside America, and the expectation that the whole world IS America (generally speaking with regards to this question). Other countries knew more about them and the same is not reciprocate. A disadvantage.

However, I think 10% of the Americans have passports now, peter o. Didn't George Bush Jr get a passport only when he became the president of the US of A? When he was well in his 50s too. LOL!

Peace.

Well I dislike SOME of the Americans attitude to WWII - you would be speaking German if it weren't of us and our lend lease agreement helped you keep fighting.

Now imagine if you saw this question 'I've got these friends and they are having problems with other people, it is not my problem so I don't want to help - but I thought as a compromise I could sell them stuff to help them with this problem, is that OK?'

How many people would say yes you're a go getter and a good friend?

Er, most obvious thing is that they have a monkey in the whitehouse. Someone must have voted for him to be there, OK that's not all the American people obviously, but a sizeable amount.

Some can be quite obnoxious & rude when they are travelling in different countries too, thankfully not all though.

Reminds me of a joke.
An American and an Englishman were arguing about the English language. The American asked, "Why do you call it a lift? It's an elevator." The Englishman replied, "We invented the language. We speak it properly. We shall call it the lift." The American says, "Okay, we invent the elevator. We will call it an elevator."

Americans!!!
As individuals - charming people.
As a nation they are a pain in the backside!!!
They have, unlike the Australians, bastardised the English language.
George Bernard Shaw, the Irish playwright, got it right when he said of Britain and America - 'Two nations separated by a common language', - his Irish wit.

I love us!

I love everyone, unless they give me a reason not to...no matter where they are from or what color (colour to you;) skin they have. What irritates me about my fellow Americans is that they generally watch WAY too much TV and do not know nearly enough about other cultures and world geography. The USA is not the center (centre to you;)of the universe,as many of them think it is.

Peace...

Americans are, generally speaking, nice people. They are a little bit ignorant regarding foreign Countries and elected GWB twice. But, apart from this, they're good folks.
