Are they saying that you can do no wrong? How are they defining sin to say that it doesnt exist?

I have seen many light-skinned african american people being called not black enough.

Examples are when vanessa williams won miss America the african american "commitee" told her that her win was nothing to celebrate in the black comunity because she was not "black" enough.
That was a while ago though.....
Recently Halle Berry won an Academy Award for best actress and many african american people said that it didn't matter to them because, like williams, she wasn't "black" enough.

My questions are:
Would you ever say that a person is not "black" enough?
Why?
Why would they not be "black" enough?
(skin color?,behavior?)
What would qualify that person as being "black"?

Do you guys follow the old testament or not??

Some christians say you're supposed to obey the OT as well as the NT... some say only the NT, the OT is just for historical purposes

Some christians say you follow only Jesus's grace, some say Jesus actually teaches to follow the law before him...

And lastly, if you accept Jesus Christ and are saved by Grace, don't you still get to go to heaven if you don't follow the rules of the bible?

I've been getting such conflicting answers to these question, depending on the christian i ask...

Could someone clear this up for me?

My husband is physically very strong, but emotionally even stronger. He does not fight back when somebody calls him names, he does not talk badly about them, and if I slip up and say something wrong he reminds me that to forgive is better and getting angry is pointless. What do you think about men who are emotionally strong? Especially based on this?

"“The strong man is not the one who can wrestle another to the ground; the strong man is the one who can control himself when he is angry.” (Reported by Ahmad, 2/236. The hadeeth is agreed upon).

The more angry a person gets, the more highly valued is his self-control. The Prophet (SAW) said:

“The real strong man is the one who gets intensely angry, so that his face reddens and his hair stands on end, but he suppresses his anger.” (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 5/367; classed as hasan in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3859).

I'm just curious what public opinion is on the issue. Science now knows beyond reasonable doubt that the great majority of homosexuality is caused by biological factors people have no control over (genetic or hormonal influence within the womb). But despite what science has to say, public opinion couldn't care less. Just like global warming and evolution, people believe what they want to believe and not where the facts lead. So what is it?

- Paganism worshiped a female deity...we know what happened to them
- Salem witch hunts - sought to crush any and all independently thinking women.
- Old testament pretty much treated women like 'complete' objects, akin to domesticated animals
- Islam, most forms have special 'rules' which some women choose to follow where as others are forced to follow.

- i do not wish to go into too many fine details...but from my 'limited' point of view, it just seems weird that so many women would follow something that has clearly had a history of maltreatment and sometimes violence towards them.

- this also obviously is from picking and choosing certain facts in order to try and emphasize my own views, but thats what all religions do...so I shouldn't be held accountable in that respect.

- also this is a generalization, obviously not all religions treat women with a lower regard to men, and I'm sure that there's a lot more out there that i have missed.

What chance does humanity have?
He doesn't even spend any time on earth giving us proof of his existence? Why would we get sentenced to hell when he gives us even less reason to believe in him than he does his angels?

So a boy from Campinas told me that it doesn't really matter which you use. I've seen things like esses dias and este carro, so maybe esse is for "untouchable" things. Like esses sentimentos? I'm probably wrong so could someone explain? Btw it's Portuguese not Spanish (last time I got a whole bunch of answers from spanish speakers lol)

I've done internet search and can only find info on HAIR. Wanting to read some interpretations on people dreaming they are pulling hair out of their mouth, kind of like hair balls I guess? Sounds silly but I would really appreciate some serious answers! Thanks

For those who think they need to talk to God in order to believe in Him - Are you really telling me that you would believe the voice you heard was God? Most times when someone says they hear voices, they are considered to be insane.

For those requiring physical proof - Do you think the God of the universe would be some kind of trained monkey that needs to perform tricks for us in order to prove His existence?

Atheist - "God, show me you are real. Make that mountain disappear.”

(mountain disappears)

Atheist - "Wow. That might have been some kind of strange natural phenomena though, like a tear in the fabric of space-time. God make a chest of gold appear at my feet.”

Do you really think that God would be some kind of genie in a bottle?

Deuteronomy 28:53
"And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: "

How impressive that you base your conception of the ultimate good on THIS.
