No, because that would be introducing a new system into an existing one.

Native Americans were here first, so they have every right to still practice their laws the way they used to. Foreigners came in and kicked them out of their ancestral lands, forcing them onto reservations.

Muslims hadn't been here until much later.

Impossible. 1st, the Reservations still follow our Constititution, which is the Supreme Law of the Land. They couldn't elect officials based on religion (this is strictly against the Constitution) and they couldn't make laws that respect one religion over another. No, shari'a courts would not be allowed in America. NA's do not elect officials according to religious belief, they don't pass laws according to them either.... The only reason it ended up that way is because the US Gov't of that time had to give them something because they had already taken all of their land. America isn't taking land from the Muslims (our Gov't, on the other hand, may have other dealings, but America itself is not doing this).

No. The native americans are an exception for a very good reason - essentially their countries, customs and practices were stolen by the US government, which 'kindly' decided to let them run some of their own affairs because they did so before the US started interfering. Muslims immigrate to America AFTER the formation of the US - ergo they should live by the laws of the US and not by sharia.

Nope, Native Americans have the right as the FIRST AMERICANS. Muslims that come here have to abide by the Laws of the United States or they can go back to a Muslim Country. I give them extra points if they go back. After all we have a Legal system here that works fine, we do not need Muslim laws that encourage people to kill their own children to please Allah.I say that if you come to America submit to American LAW the Native American courts are not really autonomous as they can not try major crimes there are 7 major crimes they must turn over to the US as the Superior Government Body. If any Muslims decide after reading this to go back to an Islamic Nation and live under Islamic law please take Barak O'bama with you. Thanks

Are you suggesting a "Muslim Reservation" ?

You ARE aware that we have these courts because we are our OWN Nations. US laws do not apply ON the reservations BECAUSE we are a "Sovereign Nation" just like US law doesn't apply to Canada.

It would not only LOOK bad, but be a nightmare of political red tape.

No. Horrible idea.

If you allow people who come AFTER our government is established to have their own courts, then what is to stop me from establishing a FSM or IPU court and enforce my own laws?

I suppose you could use one in your own community, but if you try to impose those laws on the rest of the population forgedaboutit!!! I suggest you move to one of those countries who impose those laws upon their populations.

There wouldn't be a problem, I guess. It would only govern Muslims. And it is strict. Will make Muslims behave much better.
