I believe God is what people WANT to believe but all have some form of doubt. Its a lie to get you away for a day at the end of the week with no work. Its many different things. But I have no problem with christians. If it makes someones life a greater and more happy life, i believe you make your own happiness.

I view happiness as a continuous measure rather than a binomial one. As such, it is possible for people to have a measure of happiness without God; but I don't believe it is possible to reach the maximum level of happiness without him. With God, I can believe that my existence will continue after my time on earth is done and that this eternal life will be filled with happiness and contentment. With God, I can accept that all my questions about existence will be eventually answered and stop worrying and stressing out over things that I don't know and/or can't understand about my life on earth. Through Jesus I can accept that God will forgive me of the eternal consequences of my sin relieving me of at least some of the guilt and remorse I feel when I make a mistake....I still have to pay the earthly consequences for my mistakes but knowing that God can and has forgiven me allows me to focus on dealing with those earthly consequences without worrying about the eternal ones!

i think of he's. i'm catholic. I had a frightening theory the different day. What if whilst we die we are merely nonexistant? not even not something. what's the factor?? i could be so scared to offer it my all each 2d understanding that it will all merely disappear. i'm hoping we at the instant are not purely a sperm and an egg prepare and we are right here some many years and then we are trojan horse foodstuff. I prayed to God after that theory that we are right here via Him. He craeted us, taught us, and is giving us those issues and we are able to connect him later. with the aid of fact i don't understand how atheists do it. i choose for faith to have desire. that there is a reason for all of this existence. If not, why are we right here?

God is necessary for guilt and shame over things as fundamental as sexuality.
God is also necessary for the happiness of people who make money from religion.

No, but purpose seems necessary for enduring happiness. For many purpose and god are entertwined and they can not understand having one without the other.

Only if you are too dimwitted to embrace the fact you get a chance at existence. Everything in the Universe had to happen exactly as it has inorder for you to exist today. Be thankful to whatever process caused this and stop getting hung up on that it won't last forever. Many will never even receive a chance to exist.

Absolutely not. In fact, I would venture to say that my faith in Him does quite the opposite.
I am told by Him to expect persecution and trials, to be imprisoned for my faith and to be prepared to be executed for it. God never promises happiness, but he does promise pain.
However, he also promises joy.
Joy is not simply the step up from happiness. Joy is a deep contentment in something, despite temporal circumstances. The joy of the Lord let's people dance in prison and rejoice at martyrdom.
God never promises "your best life now". He promises your best life later.

No. But Christians try to make people unhappy and tell them that they are unhappy and then offer their God as the solution. Then if you say you are happy without their God, then they'll say that you're not "truly" happy, as if it were some kind of "degree of happiness contest". They actually wish for people to be unhappy.
