In Islam, the person must make themselves accpetable to God by performing a pilgrimage to Mecca, alms, praying 5 times a day, fasting, cleansing rituals before prayer etc.
In Christianity, God has made man acceptable to God when Jesus died on the cross. He washed us clean with his blood and there is nothing we can add to his finished work.
On the one hand(Islam) the responsibility for maintaining a right relationship with God rests on the individual, on the other hand(Christianity) the responsibility rests with God whom we simply have to trust for our salvation.
What do you think? Muslims, have I represented your religion correctly? Which do you think makes more sense?
