Usually it's misguided teenagers whose parents are guilty of poor parenting and moral training for their kids who do such things. There's no longer any moral point to so many television shows. They depict the bad guy getting away with the crime and/or is glorified for his evil actions while there's no good guy to stop the bad guy.

Some may be inspired to commit a particular crime based on what they have seen, heard, or studied.

But our legal system rests on the idea that humans are responsible for their own choices and behaviors. Television is not an excuse for committing a crime.

And it is most definitely not an excuse for government censorship of any form.

No i believe it is all in how they raised right....theirs more behind it than the television screen....its the parents, and the enviorment that ((influence)) people to commit crime......

There are people who are prone to be more sensitive to things like this.........what they see, hear and feel will affect them at higher levels then the general populous. These people may offend when they are overstimulated by such sensation, yes.

It is also suggested that those who are missing certain chromosomes are prone to acting out when such stimulation has been presented to them.

You could get ideas from the television shows. I know I would if I where a criminal.

Using guns looks like fun on television. If not on tv, they would probably do more stealing without guns.

john locke came up with the theory of the 'blank slate' which basically means that the way we grow up influences the way we end up later in life. if we're raised with a lot of violence, we will probably end up as violent people

They may get ideas for crime from t.v. But the deed is in there heart in the 1st. place. T.V. doesn't "make" you do crime.

As a trained roofer, I never get asked this question. My response, should anyone climb up my ladder, would be that 'Deal or No Deal' is criminal and should be arrested.
