I am not confused at all. There is no god, just as there is no devil. I take responsibility for my own successes and failures and do not blame any non-existent beings if I fail, just as I don't pass on credit to other non-existent beings for my successes.
No confusion at all. It is very simple, if you really think about it.

"There are thousands of religions but only one god."
And your proof is ... ?
You don't have to understand the Goat Herders' Guide to the Galaxy to make a decision to believe in the InvisibleMan or not; all you gotta do is use your intelligence.
Mmm; maybe you're uncomfortable with that.
My excuse?
I followed the evidence and found none; I didn't even find evidence for the devil.
I doubt you have a clue what you believe or why.
You sound more like an UnhappyYoungFundie who failed to score last night.
Why don’t you go down into the backyard and eat worms and die – then they’ll all be sorry.
[edit]
The shitforbrains who said "A lot of people who call themselves Atheists actually hate God." ... I doubt you know any because NONE that I know believe in an InvisibleSkyGuy to hate in the first place - it's the nature of Atheism - the cornerstone if you will - you really have no clue, do you, you FoolishFundieClown?

I don't have an excuse. I don't have a belief in god. I don't say it because it's easier. I understand the bible, I don't believe the bible. Last but not least, I am not confused. I know what I believe and what I don't and I'm quite happy and comfortable with my life. You on the other hand, seem to have some confusion on why people are atheists.

Easy killer. I am not confused as to why I don't believe. It has nothing to do with not understanding the Bible or waiting for a sign. I don't believe in God for alot of reasons none of which are excuses. And for you to ask that question as if you are somehow above nonbelievers or more intelligent is just down right ignorant. I think you should look a little closer to the book you so very well understand and stop looking down threw your nose at people. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Atheist right here - and not cruising religous section in any respect! i glance on the recent questions only as quickly as I come right here, and with all the "what shade are my mom's new footwear?" and different such in that vein, i look for those I the two have expertise of or an pastime in. i detect worldwide religions (besides as different cultural ideals) exciting. Take care.

There is not one scrap of decent evidence that points to the existence of God.
There are mountains of evidence that explain the origins of the Universe and humankind.
These are (some of) my reasons. I don't need excuses.

Needing an excuse implies that I have done something wrong... I do not feel that my belief is wrong therefore no excuse is needed..
Thank you for being judgemental and sanctimonious it shows your true heart of hearts quite aptly for all to see..
