All of the good that a man can think he does can not bring a man to God's righteousness.
God provides the only way to bring a sinful man to his righteousness.
Salvation is a gift from God. The creator is not in debt to his creation.
No amount of good can make a man clean from any sin.
How can a work make a sin go away?
There are no good and bad sins.
God does not weigh sin all sin is bad there is nothing to weigh.
God had a plan of salvation before he created man and that plan was to be a savior to his people.

I know nothing about Muslims or Islam but I do know that up until recently (the last 30 or 40 years) Christianity had alot of technical stuff you had to do. One that you may remember is not eating meat on Fridays. There were alot of others and many are still practiced in places. Not performing these rituals was considered a sin, whatever that minor sin is called, I forgot, and you had to go to confession (another ritual ) to clean your soul.
Nowadays basically all you have to do is go to church on Sunday, not kill anyone, and be truly repentant and you are a golden Christinan. But in the times of the Puritains or in Tsarist Russia or medeival Europe, their were a heck of a lot of little things you HAD to do in order to be a true person of God and be a "saved" person.
The confusion I THINK, lies in the probablility that the Muslim faith has changed very little over the centuries- kinda like the Ammish but more intense, or the Hasids(sp). If this supposition is correct then the reason they seem to have to do more to be correct in their religion is because they are still true to their ancient ways whereas the Christinas have changed and modernized considerably (Latin masses gone, grape juice instead of wine..)
Again, I know nothing about Islam so you may be wrong and I am no doctor of theology for sure, but by looking at history you can see how Christianity was at the time of Muhammed and see how much both ideas have changed. You will see that the Muslim faith has changed little and Christianity had changed A LOT.
let me know it this made sense bec I'm typing like a bandit, I have to feed a child!!! ; }

Islam and Christianity have one small/extensive distinction. the belief of trinity isn't ideal in any respect in islam. Islam is on the subject of the worship of one god Allah. No idols and no middle guy. Prophet Muhammed the prophet of islam, made particular his followers knew that. After organising that middle beliefe then got here the revelations that manage something of the training that coated each and every ingredient of life. the religion of islam is almost a handbook e book that a muslim follower could save on with. different middle beliefes incorporate the afterlife, the belief of heaven and hell, the previous revelations (christianity and Judiesm) previous prophets (Jesus secure), Angels, and destiny ,good or undesirable. the concern is extensive, sorry it is what i might desire to think of of....good success tell me in case you opt for extra information.

A person is accepted by God when he believes that there is no other God than Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.
After that, we Muslims practice what the Allah S.W.T has commanded and what the Prophet (saw) asked us to do. Islam is erected on 5 Pillars; Proclamation (Shahadah), Prayer (Salat), Fast (Sawm), Alms (Zakat) and Pilgrimage (Hajj).
And yes, a Muslim is responsible for his own actions and deeds.
May Allah S.W.T guide us all..

The two religions are difficult to compare, because one holds Jesus to be the Son of God, while the other calls him a prophet and a mortal man.
Do we trust the grace given freely by Jesus or our own actions to be right in God's eyes? People from either side must reverse their views of Jesus to compare. Is this honestly possible?

Islam makes sense to Muslims.
Christianity makes sense to Christians.
By the way, haven't you read "faith without works is dead". That is in the Bible, too, you know.
Also, the Koran says over and over that GOD is Merciful. And the prophet is recorded saying the following.
"No matter how far one runs away from GOD, as soon as that person turns back to GOD, GOD is standing right there beside them."
BTW, there are lots of people saying that Allah doesn't forgive sins. They obviously haven't read the Koran.
I don't believe that either of these religions is 100% correct. But they are still fun to study. Later...

Atheism makes more sense because there is no evidence for the theological ho-hum just described.
One can debate the color of the invisible dragon for ages and fight wars over differences in belief, but that does not mean the supernatural is real.
How about this: Freedom of speech and behavior are good. Hurting others is wrong. Converting other people using government is wrong, no matter what god you believe in. Why does it require an invisible man to figure this out?

Actually as Christians we are expected to obey God's laws.
We do not have a blank check to just do anything we want.
However, if we are trying we do not have to live in fear of hell all our life until it becomes the central focus of our existance.
