don't you think it's sort of irresponsible to give people an idea of forgiveness in the sense of being a born again christian? often this sense of forgiveness is equated with being cured of ones obsessions. based on my personal experience, the majority of people who call themselves "born again" usually refer to themselves as that because of a past they feel they need to escape, usually because of guilt. these problems are usually deep-rooted, and more often than not require a good amount rehab that - sorry to say - the church just cannot give. sadly the majority of people who become born again christians often go back to their old ways because the church could not help them with their problems.

In school, it is science class that we learn about evolution. No where in that class is it ever explicitly implied that there is no God. I don't see any conflict at all, other then the one that the students come up with from learning evolution that it is contradictory to the Bible.

BTW, I do believe that the bible has a place in school, but in the same vein that Shakespeare has his place in the school curriculum. The Bible is a very old book, that has its historical roots, but is not the truth, but still should be read nonetheless. (For all you that thinks I am an ultra liberal scientist that hates the Bible or something)

Don't give me smart remarks like "well it's a theory", and "Well I have this link to this paper that argues against evolution...",
Saying it's just a theory makes you ignorant to how powerful and lifelong dedication you need to have a general accepted theory.
Also I could write a paper criticizing, and trying to disprove gravity, but that doesn't make me right.

I am puzzled as to why atheists can't see the Truth. This is a very personal issue to me because I have a family member who is an atheist.

I know that the only to get into Heaven is to be a Christian. The Bible clearly states that the only way into Heaven is through Jesus. It is the only way to avoid Hell as no unclean thing can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. You need Jesus in your life in order to be forgiven for your sins.

I know there isn't any scientific evidence for it, but guess what? Jesus lived two thousand years ago, so of course there isn't any concrete evidence for what he did. How could there be? There were no video cameras or photographs back then, so OF COURSE all you have now is hearsay.

Pick up the Bible and see how it can change your life. You are born with sin and the only way to avoid being punished for this is through Jesus. Don't be full of pride. God Bless.

I live in a very small community, and the churches all got together and brought some guy in to teach evolution to us, this guy did not believe in God and was set out to prove us wrong, he came in and put both evolution and creation side by side, and tried hard to prove us wrong, didnt do it though, he was very upset when he left. I wish most churches would do that, dont you?

My boyfriend and I have known each other for about a year and a half, and have dated for eight months. I found out that he was bisexual before we started dating. Over time, I have accepted that fact that he was bisexual and he has became more and more open about talking about his "other" life with me (i.e. encouncters, how, where and when, ect). We have both meet each other families and we have discuss our furture together. I am bicurious but have never been with a female, but would like to one day. The problem is that I fear that one day he wll leave me for man after we have invested so much into our relationship. The other thing is that I feel that he is merely with me to show his family and friends that he is straight and to have them not question him about his sexuality. I have comforted him with these concerns, and he has just denied my accusations. He claims to only have sex with man and that he does not sleep with other women. Can I have a serious relationship with him?

Can’t the whole subject be narrowed down to just one phrase; God done it? If it teaches our children to read the bible to find the answers about the mysteries of the universe, then isn’t this subject already covered at Sunday school?

you can be a mafia boss, drug smuggler, rapist. but while being all that you can still wear that cross around your neck, and after you retired from all that evil stuff. go to church and ask the priest to forgive you, he'll forgive you as long as you accept christ as your Saviour and you are officially REBORN a christian. all those people you put in the grave, all those woman you raped, all those families you hurt are put behind. by just saying, i accept jesus in my heart.

what do you say, i really want to hear. and by the way please stick to the subject.

I mean really, the only proof that you have that what it says is true is that it says it's true. If I wrote a book and said that God told me that 10,000 years ago the world was ruled by magical unicorns? No, you probably say that I was lying and had no proof. So then, why do you believe that the Bible is the truth even though the only proof that it's right is that it says it's right.
