Is there an organization that will record books on tape? Besides the Blind Association whose books require a special type player.
My atheist brother is taking post-graduate courses in History and wants to know.
Can anyone help?

so i'm going to be a sophomore in high school, and i'm transferring to a different school. i'm really nervous about meeting new friends/people! with my close friends i'm probably the most outgoing out of all of them! and i'm really loud and fun when you get to me. but i make horrible first impressions and always seem like i can't show my real self when i first meet someone! i usually get really shy, and i hate it because people don't know how fun i can really be!

any tips on how i can overcome the shyness so i can show my real self when i'm trying to meet new people?

please help because i want to make new friends without looking like i'm trying too hard!

My Ten Year old daughter is terrified because she has seen a ghost of a teen aged girl in my closet attached to my bathroom. The previous Occupants Husband died here and I have not told her this but I can feel a presence and have seen two ghosts also (an elderly Indian Man-who matches the description of the deceased Husband and a girl with long blonde hair). I am quite confused. Others say that they call people who lived like Christ and died in Him a saint or others say that to be called a "saint" is to be a "holy" one. Catholic has so many saints. Why do they think someone is holy, if they really don't know what was inside their hearts? Only God is holy. Only God can look into the heart of a human. I don't intend to offend anyone, but I am sorry if it sounds like that. I am just asking because I am confused. I think I have read a part of the bible where Peter said something about a saint or saints..

What is a "saint"?

Alright. I'm 13, and I WANT to believe in Jesus. I have studied, been to church, tried my best. But I just can't seem to believe. I do talk to him, and try to pray when I remember. I've been reading the bible and trying to do what it says.

But, I don't believe being gay is bad, as long as you find love. (I'm straight) My church said that you are either in, or out. No middle. At the moment, I think I am out. I don't want to be but I think I am. The church also said that you have to accept Jesus, which I try. They said you have to love him more then anyone. That I can't seem to do. I love my family, I can see them.

If I knew God was real though, I think I could put him above everyone else. My mind REALLY wants to believe, but its like my heart just won't allow it.

Do you think I am going to Heaven or Hell?

Well I've been thinking on where I want to get married as well. There are few countries where gay marriage is legal and the closest one to me is Canada. I want to know a good gay friendly state where I can live there. But you see I have this fear of the tornadoes. So I don't think Ontario is the best choice for me. I purchased a 1938 german 2 Reichsmark Coin , can some one help me translate these words or phrases. i will spell the words as closly as possible but some of the letters are worn. the h and n are hard to tell apart. so bare with me, and i think on #1 it is an L but not sure

How do you reconcile subjective experience (for example seeing the color red) with the reality of 'red' only being neuronal impulses of electricity across one's brain? The ones advertising Dermitage.where that ladies face is all wrinkled and that line goes across it and her face looks like half of her face is 15. Do you find them kind of Creepy?
