And of course, as soon as you mention anything of the sort, immediately it is "Satanic Lies" spread by the devil as much as even hundreds of years before Jesus was even born. Kind of interesting I think.
Unfortunately a great deal of the information on that website is wrong, but some of them are part of the basis for the mythology surrounding Jesus that has been adapted to him. To begin with, Jesus was not born on December 25th which is the common conception. The sheppards were out in their fields with their sheep, which did not happen in December in Israel. His actual date of birth would have been somewhere around mid-May or even early June.
Attis was originally a local life-death-rebirth deity of Phrygia. There is no specific birth date for Attis in the mythology. Agdistis initially bore both male and female attributes, but the gods cut off the male organ and cast it away which grew into an almond-tree. Nana picked the fruit and laid it in her bosom. It at once disappeared, but she was with child and in time her son Attis was born. Attis is said to have introduced to Lydia the cult of the Mother Goddess Cybele, incurring the jealousy of Zeus, who sent a boar to destroy the Lydian crops. Attis was killed by the boar, but Cybele saw to it that the body of Attis should neither rot at all nor decay, and he was reborn as the evergreen pine is some versions, in others he was tied to the tree and reborn as the servant of Cybele.
Dionysus is the son of Zeus and Semele in some versions; other versions of the story contend that he is the son of Zeus and Persephone. It was not unusual for Zeus to have children by mortals or other goddesses. A jealous Hera attempted to kill the child, and in both versions of the mythology he is reborn through Zeus or Semele. He was no born of a virgin. In one version he was eaten by the titans, all but his heart which was put into Semele and he is reborn. Dionysus was not the king of the Gods, Zeus was, and he was not a redeemer, nor was he the only son of Zeus.
The Horus story on the website is even more obscured, though is did have a lot of influence of the Christ myth. He is used somewhat interchangeably with Osiris, and is an aspect of him but the two are not one in the same. Isis was not a virgin, and Osiris is the god who dies and is resurrected by Isis. Osiris impregnates Isis with Horus, then passes back into the underworld. Horus us born and replaces his father as king of Egypt, not King of the Gods. Osiris is only seen as part of the rest of the Egyptian gods, because all of the Egyptian gods were seen as part of a larger divine force called the Netjer, and he was considered a god of agriculture and the harvest, thus the plants were from him. There were not three wise men, and Amen is Hebrew not Egyptian. Horus was not born to a virgin mother, and he was born in mid-June. He did not have an earthly father, and he was born near the Nile, not baptized in the river Jordan. Horus also did not raise anyone from the dead, there was no mount, he was never crucified, he did not die and become resurrected, and he was not called the “Way, the Truth, the Light,” “Messiah,” “God’s Anointed Son,” “the “Son of Man,” the “Good Shepherd,” the “Lamb of God,” the “Word made flesh,” the “Word of Truth,” etc. His mythology had nothing to do with fish; he was never called “the KRST,” or “Anointed One,” and the only law he came to fulfill was vengeance against Set for killing his father. Pretty much everything about Horus on that website is completely wrong. One thing I will say to this is that most of the statues we see of Mary are identical to Egyptian statues of Isis holding Horus.
I would continue but that is getting so long it is silly. Pretty much everything on that site is completely off from the actual mythology of those deities, but you can see some of the influences there. The one that the site is really missing is Mithras, a Hellenistic Greek deity that had the most influence on the Jesus myth. He was said to have been born of a virgin as well, and was killed only to be reborn, and his mythology is something of a mystery tradition. Pretty much every mythology has some version of a dead and resurrected god or hero of some sort and Christianity is not different. Many believe some of the Jesus mythology was added after his death so that the Romans would accept it.

I've noticed that a lot of Christians don't like to learn about the history of their religion. As soon as you mention one of the other gods and religious similarities (Gilgamesh, Mithras, Balder, etc...), they start going on about Satan and lies. I have met a few Christians who have thoroughly studied the ancient religions and found their faith to be stronger than ever. Honestly, I think a lot of people would rather just say that Satan made it all up than to test their own faith and study with an open mind.

huffy: Sorry to break your bubble - but this is a corruption of the Christian beliefs based on the ancient, Persian religion of Zoroaster ism. You can find all kinds of attempts to discredit the credibility of Jesus Christ throughout history. Remember; when you have "good", you also, have opposition
"evil". There were actually people going around at the time of Paul, the Apostle telling others that Christ had returned to the earth ! Same story - different author - that's all !!!

Hi,
Krishna yes..oh you put a link.. Thanks I go peek..ohumm..
I do know that..Krishna, the second person of the Hindu trinity who is actually believed to be Jesus himself.
Also we have Bahá': Bahá'ís believe in the following Manifestations of God: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad, The Báb, and Bahá'u'lláh. Bahá'ís accept Jesus as the Only Begotten Son of God, and they believe that Bahá'u'lláh is The Spirit of Truth Who was promised by Jesus to come teach us all things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.http://www.angelfire.com/mo/baha/LDS.html
"Jesus answered them, ‘Watch out that no one misleads you. For many will come in my name, saying, "I am the Christ," and they will mislead many ... Then if anyone says to you, "Look, here is the Christ!" or "There he is!" do not believe him. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Remember, I have told you ahead of time.’" Matthew 24:4-5, 23-25
The prophet Muhammad never claimed he was the Christ, that title was never given to him in the Quran, the term Christ is only given to Jesus in the Quran. Secondly, Muhammad never came in Jesus’ name; Muhammad came for Allah’s cause, not Jesus’. So therefore as we already see, the prophet Muhammad does not match the description given by Jesus.
As always,
Seek,Learn,Discover,Love,
Your sister in Christ

Because you have to search out that information........no one will spoon feed it to you. People who are willing to submit their will to others (not god but holy men who act as intermediaries for god) are not usually defined by their independent thinking and skepticism of 'authority'.

Some of us are. Do you think that the rebellion by Lucifer, the fall of mankind and the plan of salvation were secrets? They were not. Setting up false beliefs and doctrine are Satan's specialty.

Why aren't you aware of this scripture?
"... you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he (Messiah, Son of God) you shall die in your sins". - Jesus (Jn. 8:24)
And this one;;;
"See a man wise in his own conceits? There is more hope for a fool than him". (Prov. 26:12)

We are, but you are unaware of the inaccuracies of those supposed correlations between Christ and the myths that you refer to. I, however, am not so I'm letting you know that you need to study more.
