my sons dad, believes that thier is a being who created us,, but doesnt call it God, and thinks when we die that we will no longer excist and that jesus was just a good guy. but he doesnt believe in the big boom , he does believe we were created by a being, what would he be?

Cindy, I can respect your faith. But perheps you should respect his beliefs. If he doesn't believe in god, just understand his choices. You can't make someone see things your way.

It kind of sounds like a combination of things, maybe close to some New Age teaching. I would call it that if it was taught that way to him. Otherwise, I don't have a "name" for it, other than he is deceived.

He's just wrong for so many reasons. I'd be happy for someone to say they're either an Atheist or that they believe in God. Not making up your mind about either of the two for argument's sake, gets on my nerves.
He's just saving face so he doesn't get any criticism from anyone.

Someone who wants to believe in God, yet has his doubts about the validity of Him.
He is a man that needs to find a good, bible-based church to help guide him and to help answer his questions.
