*sighs* It saddens me that those who take the Bible too literally, in their zeal for literalism, can go against what Jesus Himself said and preached.
Example, those of you that believe in a literal rapture where people will rise into the air and meet Jesus Christ in the air...
1 Thessalonians 4:17
After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
1. GRAVITY would have something to say about that wouldn't it? (It IS a natural law of course, and as a part of the natural world, God made that law didn't He? - yet that would go against His own nature and creation)
2. Jesus Christ Himself refuted this...
Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you.
