I'm really sorry to hear about your friend Frigg. Your question is one that I struggle with constantly myself. Not just in death but in life too. You see people like Trump prospering, abundantly at that, and you wonder how that could be when these people openly deny God. I'll be honest. I don't have the answers. I wonder just like you, I struggle just like you and I'm searching just like you. But I do believe that God knows all and sees all and I believe He doesn't sleep Frigg. He doesn't make mistakes. Nothing happens by accident with God. There is a purpose for everything He does, we just don't always know what it is or see the wisdom in it. But if we truly trust Him we have to accept that He knows what is best. He never promised it would be easy though. He just promised to be there to help us through. So my prayer for you Frigg is that He will be with you to comfort and console you, to heal your hearting heart, to hold your hand and let you know it's going to be okay. He loves you Frigg and so do I. You're in my prayers.

I am indeed sorry for your loss. I lost my cousin a year and a half ago in a vehicular accident on Mosquito Creek around by the cremation site in South Trinidad. He died instantly. It was not pretty but I am grateful for the fact that he did not suffer. It is very easy to point the finger at God and ask "Why?" That's what grief does to you. You don't necessarily want to blame Him, it's just that you *need* to blame someone and that is understandable. I am a bit of a lapsed Catholic but I do believe there is a God and I still ask Him for strength each and everyday. The fact is, everyone must die. It may be unexpected or it may be expected. It just depends on when your time is up. Some people say that God is vengeful and He may be just that to a certain degree. However, I prefer to believe that some people are taken away more prematurely than others because God needs them to serve a different purpose. Again, I am very sorry for your loss, Frigg. The Trini posse is here for you. :-)

In a sense God allows these things, but it is Satan who is causing these things to happen. God has given Satan free reign over the earth, which means he doesn't interfere with his actions. God does not perform miracles, if he did, good things would happen to his followers all the time. As a matter of fact Satans entire argument was that people were only loyal to God because he gave us everything. The bible says if we believe we will be persecuted by the non-believers. So I don't understand why people still have this notion that if something good or bad happens it is the work of God. God has given Satan 100% control over every act on this earth, that means everything that occurs is Satans work. We are only here to choose Satans way or Gods way. It is that simple. ;-)

So sorry to hear about your loss, may her journey be the beginning of her freedom of her soul into the oneness that created us. God doesn't not step in for many reason
1- There is a law call the law of accidents that happens at any time to anyone any where.
2- There is the law of Karma well many will tell you what karma really means but in the end we all need to pay for it.
3-The lack of love- sometimes God takes children away to prove to the world that there is not enough love on earth those children become angels of war the fight to create love in such a violent planet.
4- Her time was up in the involution cycle her mission was completed and she must move on.
May God and our Davide masters guide her into the light and may she be free for eternity. God bless her.

I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. It's not fair, and you and everyone who cares for her must be incredibly sad and p*ssed at the same time.
I lost my Dad not too long ago. It's terrible without him. But I look at my beliefs this way: if I believe in God's promise, I get to see my Dad again someday. That's nice to have a little hope. I get some comfort knowing that each day is one day closer to seeing him again. If I don't believe, then it's over -- I've lost him forever, and each day takes me further away from the time we had together. Maybe I'm misguided, but it's better than giving up hope.
I believe your friend wasn't screwed -- I just think her time on earth was done, and God needed her for another purpose. The time you shared with her on earth is just the beginning, and you'll have her friendship again.

I'm curious why this is in etiquette and not R&S - but your question is still a valid one, if misplaced.
When Lucifer defied God and challenged His place as the Almighty, he was cast down to earth. This is now his (satan's) domain. When Jesus was on his 40-day fast, the devil approached Him without fear, because he knew that Jesus was on his turf. He tried to bargain worldly power to convince Jesus to abandon His mission.
God sees all that happens, but without prayers from the saints He does not step in - that would be a violation of free will, which is very important - and also another conversation altogether.
That being said, please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your friend. I experienced something similar when I was a teen, a friend went through a green light and was T-boned by someone running from the police - my friend died instantly. Another friend, a wonderfully sweet girl, was at track practice, running with her partner, and an aneurism in her brain burst. She was dead before she hit the ground. It's not fair, it hurts, and it doesn't make any sense. But that doesn't keep it from happening every day.

We do not always know his will. I can tell you that this was no act of God. I lost my 18 year old sister in a car wreck it will be 3 years ago this December 16. It is like it says in the bible, this is not an exact quote "then there was a earth quake, but God was not in the earth quake. Then there was a massive fire, but He was not in the fire. Then there was silence, and I heard a still small voice". That is where you will find God, not in the destruction, and turmoil in the world. You will find Him in the calm and peace that falls over you after the event takes place. Just pray about it and ask that His peace be with you, and give you strength in this tragedy. Then turn it over to him and take comfort that it is out of your hands and in the hands of someone more powerful and loving than anyone can be here on earth. I am sorry.

i'm really sorry about your friend :( life sucks but don't let that make you believe that God doesn't exist....everyone has a purpose and a time to go. i guess it was her time but that doesn't mean she didnt have a purpose. one person could fulfill their purpose more in 20 years than another could in 80. i know its really discouraging but bad things happen because we live in a fallen world. God allows bad things to happen because the world we live in stopped being perfect once man sinned....the Bible says that God grieves though along with us. Basically, when these kinds of things happen, God allowed it because of this fallen world, but He's weeping too! From what you've said, it sounds like your friend is in a much much better place and is happy. I'm really sorry about this, again.

I am sorry to hear such bad news, especially in your condition, I hope you aren't stressing yourself out. I think this is one of those times when your faith is being put to the test. Keep strong chic, everything happens for a purpose - the good and the bad, its just a cycle of life and death is a part of life. Your friend who was god fearing is with her master right now and free from all the earthly sufferings - our body is just a vessel - our spirit lives on and the memories will never fade!
Take it easy yuh hear, my condolences once again.

I wonder that myself. If there really is a God then why does he or she allow things like this to happen. 9/11 was another arguing point too because how could anyone allow such an evil thing to happen. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
