Just stop going. Or flip out in church and hope to be excommunicated. That would be the more fun way.

Stop calling yourself a Catholic. Believe and say things that don't gel with the Catholic faith.
My mom was born a protestant and became Catholic so the Catholic church would recognize their marriage. I left the Catholic church when I became a BAC (born-again Christian), believe me it's a lot easier to get out than to get in.

It would be better for you to stay and hold them acountable for protecting child rapists.Make you voice heard every sunday. Thats what Jesus would do. I think they would respond very quickly the way they did to Jesus and have you Officially removed from the catholic church.

You don't have to do anything official. You get up, walk out, never come back. That's it, finished, finito. My mother is an ex-Catholic nun - she's still Catholic, raised me Catholic, I left - quick and easy - it worked for me.

Coming from a catholic, very simple. I walked away, and never came back. I believe in God, and never needed the church to tell me how to live my life.

when one does not follow it's doctrines one in effect excommunicates themselves but, I can tell that is not what you really want to do. You want to somehow voice publicly your dissatisfaction with the Catholic Church and I would not worry about that now because I think you have, to your error, done that.

It's up to you to not recognize them as authorities on amything. They don't actually have their clamps into you. They just want you to think so. I walked away over thirty years ago and have been a Taoist ever since....

Read the bible. Just don't go to the catholic church anymore then live by your own faith. That's just it.

you have a choice. it's not as if the Church is binding you with chains to stay in The Church anyway.
