DNA has proven that the Bible has been right all along and that science with all its great technologies and inventions cannot match God and His plan of creation.

Your view?

Though Darwin wrote of religion as a tribal survival strategy, he still believed that God was the ultimate lawgiver. His belief dwindled, and with the death of his daughter Annie in 1851, Darwin finally lost all faith in Christianity. He continued to help the local church with parish work, but on Sundays would go for a walk while his family attended church. He now thought it better to look at pain and suffering as the result of general laws rather than direct intervention by God. When asked about his religious views, he wrote that he had never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God, and that generally "an Agnostic would be the more correct description of my state of mind."

Strange, him and I both used the death of a loved one as a means to turn against God. The only difference is that I eventually saw otherwise.

No one has ever gotten a straight answer about life after death. So many theories.... so many beliefs but nothing tangible that can be explained.

What does this make you think?

"DOES ISLAAM PROMOTE VIOLENCE AND TERRORISM?

No. Islaam is a religion of peace and submission and stresses the sanctity of human life. A verse in the Quran says (Chapter 5, verse 32), that anyone who saves one life, it is as if he has saved the whole of mankind and anyone who has killed another person except (in lieu of murder or mischief on earth), it is as if he has killed the whole mankind." Islaam condemns all violence which happened in the Crusades, in Spain, in the 2nd world war, or by acts of people like the Rev. Jim Jones, David Koresh, Dr. Baruch Goldstein, or the atrocities committed in Bosnia by the Christian Serbs. Anyone who resorts to violence is not practicing his religion at that time. However, sometimes violence is a human response of oppressed people as in Palestine. There is a lot of terrorism and violence in areas where there is no Muslim presence. For example, in Ireland, South Africa, Latin America, and Sri Lanka.

If the believer is wrong and God doesn’t exist, then nothing has been lost; on the other hand, if the atheist is wrong and God does exist, then the atheist risks going to hell. Therefore, it is smarter to take a chance on believing than to take a chance on not believing, and the atheist is in a bad spot.

There are a number of problems with this argument. For one thing, it assumes that believing or not believing is a choice which a person can make rather than something determined by circumstances, evidence, reason, experience, etc. Wagering requires the ability to choose through an act of will, and it seems unlikely that belief is something which you can choose through an act of will.

But what if Atheists are wrong? This is scary, and according to us Christians, " Hell is where the sinner burn eternally. "

And if Christians are wrong, nothing comes out of it.

I asked a question on the Religion forum about Christianity asking how I should interpret a Bible verse. The only answers I got were people who said things like "Go to the nearest mental health institute" or "Don't bother, we don't want your Jesus." What should I do if this happens? I've gotten threats too.

And saw Abdul Wahab's response below. If a muslim female can't wear capris to go play tennis, and has to wear a hijab or burka as Abdul suggests, it'd be a wonder that any muslim women got any physical exercise in their lives. Some may respond that they can do this in the privacy of their own home. But that just doesn't cut it. Part of modern living/society is being engaged with your fellow humans. What's the point of doing anything if it's going to be constrained to one's private domain?

Here in Australia, there are christian programs that buy half hour slots early in the morning to push their evangelical message threatening fire & brimstone to those who don't live exactly as they dictate.

Many christians declare that we should let them believe what they want as it dosn't affect us.

But how they feel if everywhere they turned, someone were pushing atheism on them and tearing down their faith?

How would they like it if they turned on the television every morning to see someone pushing them to accept their is no God and their beliefs are as shallow as a wading pool?

I often pass a billboard with the words "Jesus is the answer" on it.

It makes me cringe every time I see it.

How do you think christians would feel if atheists put up billboards saying "God is imaginary. When you die, you're dead" or "Jesus is just a myth"?

[Elder Russell M. Nelson] urged his listeners to seek first to follow the teachings of the church before seeking wealth, which includes the commandment to create families.

"The beauty of family is much more than physical. It is spiritual," he said.

Times have changed in half a century, Elder Nelson said

"Temptation and sin exceeds anything we knew in our day," he said.

"Satan is waging war directly at the heart of God's plan — the family," he said.

The age of couples getting married for the first time is increasing, as is the number of unmarried couples, he said. "It takes real faith to withstand this attack," he added.

If a person has never been taught about Christ, do you think that he will be convicted on judgement day of not having a belief in Christ or do you think that he will be judged based on what knowledge was given to him and how he lived his life based on this knowledge?

If so, (or not so), can you give a verse/verse in the Bible to supports your belief?
