I asked a question on the Religion forum about Christianity asking how I should interpret a Bible verse. The only answers I got were people who said things like "Go to the nearest mental health institute" or "Don't bother, we don't want your Jesus." What should I do if this happens? I've gotten threats too.

People on here slam everything. I bet you can't go into a single question without seeing it. That said, go to a preacher, priest or someone with alot of knowlege on the bible. Because its clear people on here would rather slam someone then help.

It really depends on the verse. It might be questioning peoples beliefs even though you don't it. I would just back off the Jesus territory. People get pretty defensive about their god, and no matter what you say or do it never makes things 100 % better. I'd just leave questions like that alone.

If it is about a question that needs answering about the Bible, don't you think it is best to refer to a Christian priest or scholar that you trust rather than go asking anonymous posters on the internet concerning a subject that they could very well be less informed than you on? Besides, people who tend to be the most hostile on the internet are also known to be the biggest cowards in real life. Don't pay any attention to them.

Well, veg*ans get hostile remarks from the meat eaters, and I just roll my eyes, ignore it, and maybe give it a low rating.

If you get threats, report them to Yahoo!

I'm an agnostic, so I don't intend to visit the religious forums, and if I see a religious question on a forum I do visit, I promise to refrain from making nasty remarks.

Report abuse. Period. That's what that option is for: hateful, unnecessary remarks. You asked a valid question; they provided nothing informative and they expressed prejudice against your way of life. They're abusing you and the forum. Report that abuse.

Threats are one thing (dangerous) and belief in a fairy tale is another (just stupid).

I really don't know why you'd care. I mean what logical reason do you have to believe that god exists, let alone your god, and that the bible is true?

If you get a real verbal threat, turn them in to the staff

(y_answrs_team@yahoo.com), otherwise, ignore them, as they just want to rile you up
