Im 18 and have obviously been black my whole life. But from a very young age I always felt weird that I was black. I remeber looking at myself and thinking "wow, so i'm black?" I have always gone to primarily white schools and most of my friends are white. I get called 'oreo' and 'white girl'. Its so strange but when people tell me "your black" or describe me as 'a black girl' it feels so strange and foreign. And truthfully uncomfortable. Even when black people describe me as that it feels so wrong. I can't explain it, im not ashamed of my race, I like the way i look, listen to 'black' music, and like 'black guys'. but I dont feel like I'm supposed to be black..was I white in a past life or something...uhhh I hate feeling so out of place and shunned by my race HELP MEEE

I don't want to go into who it is or anything (but its not my husband or kid) but I sincerely believe they are addicted. They tell me they aren't and they can go without, and they don't search for it. I would wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and this person is awake (like 3am) with a few others and they are talking a bunch of nonsense that makes absolutely no sense to me. This person is mean as hell sometimes, nice as pie the next. I had to clean up the house because it was nasty, do grocery shopping (with my money), offered to post their resume online (which they refused), and a few more things. From January to July I think this person lost about 30 to 40 lbs. I have since left because we had a arguement...but it really wasn't because of the arguement it was because of the drug use. Is there anything I can do? Or should I just leave it? We aren't speaking right now.

How does this drug affect ur personality? Ppl who had this experience please answer.

I have of late began to realize that day by day we are closer to the return of Christ. I mean I really feel it, and I see it in all the media and the way technology is rushing to meet the demand of the one world government, that will soon be imposed on all people.

Romans 13:10-14 reads
10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

I am Catholic, my boyfriend is Baptist. I occasionally go to his church, he occasionally comes to mine. It's never seemed like that big a deal. But his mother told his pastor I am Catholic and now the pastor wants to talk to my boyfriend and me and is basically demanding I come talk to him. Do I have to? What is he going to say? I have heard this guy preach, and he strikes me as quite fundamentalist. I am a little freaked out because I don't know fi this is going to be a good conversation or a bad conversation.

I'll acceed that the most common forms of polygamy are horribly sexist, but polygamy need not be sexist by definition.

Additionally, many people with religious objections to polygamy fail to recognize the multitude of poligamists in their own religious traditions.

Considering that the primary purpose of marriage is raising healthy, well-adapted children, wouldn't multiple marriage make more sense? It seems to me that four or five parents could protect and nurture their children more easily and fully than just two.

I'm just wondering.. if there were some way to prove that a particular religion were right, would you be glad to know there would be an afterlife available to you, or would you still prefer to just die?

Do you think any of the religions encourage goodness, or are they all detrimental in your opinion?

Here's a personal story.

This past Father's Day, I attended a family dinner with my mom, dad, grandpa, and uncle.

My uncle is a born-again Christian, and a fundie in the worst way. The topic of religion came up somehow, and here's the story he told me.

AIDS was not spread to humans from monkies. It was engineered by humans by combining several known diseases (he named some, but I forget), and then distributed to gay men in New York City, and to Africa via Hep B innoculations, for the purpose of world population control.

WHAT THE F**K!!!!!!!????

I almost said that. Instead, I calmly replied, "Why Africa? Asia has a far larger population," for the sake of argument.
He said, "Uh...well, AIDS is there, too...right?"

How can people defend a religion that promotes this crap? He honestly believes these things. And I know that there are a great many Christians who aren't bigots, but there seem to be alot who are as well.

I fell in love with a muslim man. He is to be married. I told him I loved him the day before he left. He says he is confused because if I had of told him earlier he could of changed his decisions.
