Technically, no.
The Bible says that it is a shame for a woman to not have her head covered when in the congregation.
The Bible also says that her natural hair is her head covering.
Local social practices are taken into account, so as to not stumble visitors.

Since God in his infinite wisdom choose to give us free will knowing some of us would choose the wrong way.
why do men feel it is their duty to force women to either cover their hair, or not cover it as their decision. Men make the decisions in religion and then feel obligated to enforce their feelings and believes on women who actually have no choice in the matter. It is as if they feel they are dogs or cows.
If a women decides this is a good idea and wears a scarf then that is nice and her idea. But if she chooses not to wear a scarf how does this interfer in a man's relationship with God. Did God say, 'you have to make a women obedient to what you want?" Isn't that what your saying?
Do women have a choice? Or are you saying men are obligated to make a women wear a scarf?

No, especially if the women think it through and understand and agree with the reasoning.
The only religions that are wrong are ones that do not allow or expect followers to think for themselves and understand the reasons they adhere to that faith.
Many religions do have extremists or zealots that misinterpret the religion to find flaws or to gain personal power. You cannot condemn an entire religion based on the few misguided among the followers. Neither should we jump to judge other religions based on our ignorance of their faith and beliefs.

And what happens to all those women who lived on earth when cloth was not even invented?? How will judgement day treat them? It only goes to say that religion was all man made, man could not answer the challenges death posed to him so he fabricated all these things about hell and heaven and God operating the system.

No, any society that as a whole enforces that requirement on its people and makes laws to that effect or has social norms that do is wrong.

And any person of that religion that expects society to bend its rules for them to make considerations for thier religion if it will either raise safety or convenience concerns or inconveience other people or businesses is wrong.

Unless of course you are required to wear a lion pelt on your head.

If they are forced then maybe it is wrong but it is up to the individual religon. I don't agree with those wearing headscarfs on a pasport photo that is stupid. But I think it is up to them. no one can understand unless they do it themselves.

Answering the question presumes a priori knowledge. If what God wants is for women to cover their heads, it isn't wrong. If it isn't, then it's wrong.

Yes. Religion should not "make" people do something; it should lay out the guidelines and "let" people choose if they'd like to follow or not.

Peace.

Any religion that requires women to cover any part of their body is wrong! We need more nude women in this world.

i believe in freedom of religion but i feel as though to tell women to cover their head is a big degrating as if men are better for some reason i guess if they are ok with it then it's ok it's their choice however i don't really agree with it
