(1) This point is moot. The world is already using petroleum found by geologists. Their beliefs are irrelevant. I'll turn the question around. You are very ill. The only doctor available to you believes in an almighty creator. Would you rather forego treatment than compromise your non-belief?
(2) I would refuse it. My future is never uncertain. I know exactly where I'm headed.
(3) The premise of this point is completely incorrect. You refer to a bacteria that has "evolved". Into what? Did the bacteria change and become something else? Not hardly. It is still bacteria. Doctors refer to a virus adapting, changing etc. to become penicillin resistant. They don't talk of evolution.

God made man who had the knowledge to make live saving medicines. I have no problem with stem cell science so long as it does not involve taking the life of a fetus for the purpose of stem cell science. Yep, you guessed it, I am against abortion as well.
Regarding oil, sure, I'd buy the gas, why not. There are Christians, by the way, that go with the older earth and those that go with the younger earth. It isn't a matter of salvation. I personally believe that it is thousands.

You seem to have Christian confused with creationist, in my opinion since humans today are no closer to understanding God's plan I can't imagine that some poor goat herder could have correctly interpreted how the world was created. Since really that's what questions 1 & 2 boil down too.
As for question 2, stem cell research has in my opinion a dark side with what's known as therapeutic cloning in which cells from a damaged person are taken, grown into fetuses and then aborted for the stem cells. As a Christian and I hope a moral person, I couldn't justify growing and harvesting human beings for my own selfish purposes, otherwise in my opinion that lowers humans to cattle. Better to take a chance at a uncertain future than to do anything to remain alive.

hey rug, is that really the best question you've heard in awhile? that's pretty funny.
1. Doesnt say in the bible the world is only 1000s of years old, and plus many of us are not into the weird complaincy things.
2. Not all of us are against stem cells.
3. no sane person disputes microevolution, we simply dont believe macroevolution-that all cells were evolved from one.

None of these questions have anything to do with MY faith. Being a christian is completely compatible with science. I consider it a mark of God's power and design that such things are available to me.
Not all christians are young-earth creationists, and very few christians deny the idea of micro-evolution, or survival of the fittest. That would be...well, stupid. Which is the point of your question, to make christians look stupid. Of course I believe that bacteria can evolve to resist penicillin, it's a proven fact. What I don't believe is that that same bacteria will evolve into a fish, which will evolve into a mammal and eventually a human.
Regarding stem cell research, I'm fully in favor of it. I'm opposed to using aborted fetuses in stem cell research. Interestingly, none of the major developments in stem cell research have been based around aborted baby stem cells, becaue the body rejects them. Stem cells are available in adult blood, bone marrow, and mucus membranes. I'm all for stem cells, but I'd rather use my own stem cells (which might actually work) than a dead baby's stem cells (which might kill me).

all of these are false questions. A person can believe in Christ and not worry about 1) and 3), and 2) show me any place where stem cell research has actually brought about a cure for anything, and I'll consider it.

1) I use flex-fuel, therefore...I only need farmers to grow corn.
2) Not all stem cell research comes from embryo's. Are they getting the cell from ambionic fluid, it's not coming from a baby so, yes, I'd had the procedure done.
3) God gave us a brain and expects us to use it. Depending on what is in the "cocktail." That would go for me...or my child.
4) God is the greatest scientist, therefore I accept science.
Peace

Question 2 and 3 are irrelevant, since when do Christians not believe in medicine?
As for question 1, the bible never specified how old the earth is. The "days" of the creation were periods of time.

I would never go against God's will and I have had to deal with issues like this and He has blessed me for it.I try to look at the Bible like when Paul was imprisoned he didn't whine and cry he priased God, I know it is a hard act to follow but God knows best and has always blessed me when I remained faithful. Always. I've almost died 3 times but God has always been there always !! He knows best.
