I know its popular to say diversity is good. Sometimes popular opinion is wrong though. From what I have seen diversity leads to division, not unity. Can someone provide really good arguments why diversity is a strength, not a weakness? Im tired of hearing about the strengths of diversity without anyone naming any. I will grant best answer to the most logical, well considered and consice answer.

My best friend that I knew since highschool just lost his boyfriend from a drunk driver. Now, he is crying and crying and telling me that he can't take it anymore and wants to end his life.
The problem is that he lost his first boyfriend when we were our freshman year in higschool, then his second boyfriend died from a car accident. His third boyfriend dumped him for another guy, his fourth boyfriend dumped him for a GIRL, and now he has been dating his last boyfriend for a year and he was killed by a drunk driver a few nights ago.
We just got back from his funeral and my Jeremy keeps crying and crying, and he keeps saying that life is not fair for him. He keeps saying that everytime he loves some one he lost them and now he had enough and can't take it anymore.
He keeps saying that he wants to die, he even asks me to stab him with a knife.
What should I do? I love him and I don't want to lose my best friend. Please Help.

Why does society dislike homosexual/bi people with a passion, even though its not hurting them in any form or way? Like me I'm a bi teen in the closet, and I can't even enjoy being with my boyfriend, because in public I have to introduce him as my best friend, instead of my boyfriend. Just like a woman and a man can go down the street holding hands, I can't do that with my boyfriend in this modern society. And I plum hate, when str8 guys say that we are sinners/ abominations, but yet they find two lesbians going at it, perfectly okay, but yet quick to bash on the gay guys!

believers say: SOS: save our souls.
atheists say: SOA: save our asses.
atheists believe in a kind of god called Evolution way more powerful than our god since it has created the universe and this fantastic and beautiful planet with plenty of time but without even wanting it. have you ever created something nice without wanting and trying?

Is it sad or is it amusing when Christians make some bigotted statement and then quote the bible to justify it, but when anyone (even another Christian) disagrees with them, and cites a bible verse, the Christian claims "Even the devil can quote scriptures." Well, if the bible can be used, in context, to justify both good and bad behavior, what use is it?

I admit I get really irked when people start ganging up on the Catholics mainly because thier assumption are completly wrong and totally biased, but I am Pagan. I also tend to defend any Christian who asked a respectful question and gets bashed by other Christians. Anyone else do that?

if they do not touch the $, then how are they going to live in USA as USA believes in God and it clearly says on its currency. Do they (atheists) go to another country and find another currency which says "We don't trust in GOD" and live happily ever after ?

We need a little help! My bf and I are getting engaged as soon as he gets to the US (he asked me to be his wife but wants to propose w/a ring when we see eachother again).
Once he gets his visa ~no he's not trying to use me for a green card we love eachother~ we need to get married within a certain amount of months, I think it's 2months, but we both want a church ceremony. I am Catholic and he's Christian and I know we can both get married in the Catholic church but I've heard about the pre-marriage classes and you have to take them 6 months before the ceremony. We don't have that much time and we both do NOT want a civil ceremony even as a 1st ceremony. We both want a priest to marry us, and our faiths are very similar if not the same, so I know it won't be a problem with the marriage. But what can we do since we only have a small window for a wedding once he gets here? We really want to be married in the church.

I have a scholarship and am taking up medical assistant. I recently took a month off cause I was in and out of the hospital. When I returned my teacher made it clear to me that she was not happy at the fact that I would give her a date of me to return and pop up later on. now I have missed 3 days after that due to the fact that my boyfriend roughed me up and am too embarrased to return. My teacher is aware of what I am going through, I have already gone through class with a black eye. I am embarrased to even call her and explain to her why I havent returned. I really want to go back but what should I tell her?? should I call her and explaion to her why I havent sahown up?? I really dont want to mess this scholarship up, please help!!!
