Why does society dislike homosexual/bi people with a passion, even though its not hurting them in any form or way? Like me I'm a bi teen in the closet, and I can't even enjoy being with my boyfriend, because in public I have to introduce him as my best friend, instead of my boyfriend. Just like a woman and a man can go down the street holding hands, I can't do that with my boyfriend in this modern society. And I plum hate, when str8 guys say that we are sinners/ abominations, but yet they find two lesbians going at it, perfectly okay, but yet quick to bash on the gay guys!

It could be based on where I live, because I do live in a bible belt state (Texas)

Some people are ignorant and love being in other people's business where they have no right. I totally feel the same way, why should they give a *** of what we do with our lives?! Except, I love making those type of people uncomfortable. Some say I am asking for trouble, but I am just doing what every other person does.
Coming out of the closet is scary and a little hard, but I love being out in the open. I wish you luck when you come out and with your boyfriend.

I totally agree with you. It's not right.
Around where I live, it's more common to see bisexual people because our town is filled with Emos and a lot of them like to fake it and say they're bi(even though they aren't).
I personally think that society is like that because they're afraid of the changes that can come from it. If it were normal for two men to walk down the street hand in hand, they want to freak out because they start thinking of all the negative stuff. Automatically they'll think of "What will my kids think if they see that?" or "Oh my gosh, I bet they have AIDS." Both of which are totally illrelevant to the here and now. I hate how everyone thinks that all homosexuals or bisexuals have AIDS.
And also, I think that two males in a relationship or even two women in a relationship is beautiful. Love is love, lust is lust, caring is caring. Get the heck over it people. Just come out about it to give a big F-YOU! to the world =]

I feel the exact same way as you... there is a total double standard in society against gay men especially. Plus society has this great way of taking everything negative and trying to blame it on us. Don't believe me haters... Look at Ann Coulter how many times has she said the troops dying over seas is because America is allowing gay people to be here and God is punishing us. Society fears us because they don't understand us. So rather than attempt to improve relations with us, it's easier to shun us, speak badly about us, and blame us for the worlds problems. It's very sad and I'm optimistic that one day I will be able to walk down the street holding my boyfriend's hand without the fear that we'll get beat up. :)

precisely why might "we" might desire to justify something to you? i individually have universal many couples at the same time better than 25 years yet that still isn't any style of reasoning to permit or disallow any Marriage. So senior citizen heterosexuals grow to be ineligible for marriage whilst they won't stay to have the skill to have 25 years at the same time? Why could or no longer it particularly is any distinctive for homosexuals. it particularly is no longer a man or woman's place to attempt to learn Marriage, marriage is a corporation considering it particularly is of benefit to the persons. don't be stupid. Homosexuals are not those producing toddlers exterior of wedlock, no longer that it makes a difference. it particularly is your man or woman hangup, no longer a criminal concern. no count number if or no longer society "accepts" homosexuals greater advantageous by using fact of their marital status isn't a attention, the criminal rights are the problem, no longer popular opinion. Any new child observed or won by way of surrogacy might probable take transport of the comparable rights and opportunities a heterosexual couple might supply a new child pondering the placement. a pair having matching genitals would not cause them to monsters as you're so prepared on implying. as far by using fact the Terminology is going, it quite makes no difference. Arguing semantics is the act of a desperate man or woman.

I wish i had a good answer for you. people are just closed minded and bigoted. I do think its getting better.. slowly. I have gay friends that are out that 10 years ago would never have concidered being open. It also depends on where you live. some parts of the country are more open and progressive than others. Good luck to you.

That which is different is shunned. It's a biological impulse, not holy writ that compels it. Though, the impulse has been translated INTO holy writ so that one bolsters the other.
There is absolutely no shame or dishonor in being gay or bi and loving someone according to those orientations. What is dishonorable is bigotry, hatred, and hypocrisy.

Jealousy
Religious intolerance
Familial tradition and teaching of intolerant values
Other personal experiences that may have been damaging.
There are tons of excuses...but none of them good.
Not one logical argument, only speculation, hearsay and rumor.
People are naturally afraid of anything different or anything they don't understand. So, being ugly and mean towards what they don't understand is all too common. It's easier than learning to accept, learning about what makes them afraid...

1. Because society is screwed up.
2. Because of religion.
It really is sad. What happened to 'all people are created equal'? I thought we settled this in the civil rights movement when we finally, after all of those years of fighting, came to the conclusion that we are BORN with our rights.. but yet we're still having to earn them here.
I don't understand society.

people are just ignorant. i'm a straight guy and feel that you should be able to be with whoever you want guy or girl. If people would get there heads out of there asses and not be so quick to judge, the world would be a little less stressfull.
