Abusers try to "Isolate" you to control you.
Getting u to "Cry Wolf" to your family, friends, and to officials is a technique they use to isolate you.
Never, ever be afraid to call wolf. You've lost if you cannot talk to this woman whom you've befriended. At the same token ... if a solution to break from this abuse is given you should take it.

From Experience: Many college professors - aren't interested in a bunch of tear-filled excuses - especially those seeming to be without substance. Even if you're sick and in the hospital, you need to provide a doctor's note - including when you're released to go back to school/drive/work.
I missed 3 weeks in college once - had the Measles - the kind that you get quarantined for - and nearly died.
It was only because I called my teachers from my hospital room and asked for doctors notes that I could even remain in the program. Even at that I had to take a full letter grade cut in my finals.
BUT I did have the doctors notes and could prove that I wasn't goofing off. So I got to remain in the program.

whats more important, ur education or wearing sunglasses in glass to get through the embarassment and shame and to prove ur bigger than that. I serioulsy think u have it right whenu stated u cried wolf too many times. Take pride iin yourself and your education. Why were u in the hospital? was it due to the abuse from ur bf. The fact that you still call him ur boyfriend is almost disturbing. I think you need to ditch this loser and press chares. Any man who puts his hands on a woman and leaves marks should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Stop dealing with him, and get your butt to class. U dont want your teacher to loose trust and not believe you for all the imes ur were validly sick. Just go to class and stop hanging out with this jerk an dleave him in ur past. ur education is more important that any more injuries and hospital visits.

I have been in a similar situation where I had a car wreck keeping me from attending class for two weeks, and just after I recovered, the guy I was dating roughed me up. I was completely embarrassed and confused. I asked for help from a good friend who listened and told me this: Get away from the guy for good. No explanation is required. Totally and completely end it. Then go to your teacher, and explain exactly what happened. It feels emabarrassing, but there is nothing to be embarrassed about, unless you make the mistake of letting this jerk do this to you again. My teacher was very understanding and even gave me her notes to the classes I missed.

First, why are you with this person if he is hitting you? Get away from him now. Get legal help if you must. Also, you need to let your teacher know where you are and why you are not in class. I teach part time in a school that has a strict attendance policy. There is no way I can personally change it, but I can let the administration know if I think a student should be allowed back. If I don't know, then I can't do that.

You need to talk to someone who can help you through your predicament. I hope you have left the idiot and notified the police. I am sure your teacher will understand what you have gone through, but they aren't mind readers. Explain yourself, and I am sure your scholarship will be safe. But more importantly, lose the boyfriend immediately if you haven't already.

Tell the teacher the truth. If she knows most of whats going on, she'll try to help you and be understanding.

If you haven't gotten rid of your "boyfriend", then you have more to worry about than some teacher. I don't see why you can't talk openly with your teacher.
