praise Jah you people. Jehovah is not another name for Jesus Christ, they are not one and the same. Jesus said he cannot do anything without the Father in heaven.

the word they use for God.
I'm not Jamaican, but I have family that is.
Hallelujah- means "Praise Jehovah."
Any name that ends with "iah,"
is having to do with the name Jehovah.
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zachariah / Zechariah,
Mariah, Obadiah, Abijah, Adonijah, etc...

When you see Yah or Jah written, its supposed to be a condensed version of the Name of God. Like "HalleluJAH" is supposed to be "Praise Jahovah"

Yes it is. You will find in used in word such as Hallelu"jah". The Hebrew often would shorten words to a single syllable, especially when they used them in names. Like "El" is short for "Elohim", the Hebrew for "God". You will also see "Jeh" and "Jav" or "Jev" as short version of "YWHW" (or Jehovah).

Yes it is. In the word "hallelujah," we see that shortened version of His name. The word hallelujah literally means "Praise Yahweh."
