Romans 3:23 tells us that everyone sins and all sins lead to death, but no one has the right to take the life of another. So if a church is threatening that, they are not a church from God.

Happens all the time here in Kremmling, Colorado
where some of these churches
like Gore Range Baptist
and Kremmling Community Church where they harass
and threaten death on other churches
and their members
These churches I mentioned are not a friendly bunch of
people at all
Just so vicious mean and callous they are and they would
murder you if they could do it

No need to point out the foolishness of that. Especially since it's actually the " wages of sin is death."
It isn't your human body death they are referring to but your soul. Live for Jesus live eternally. Reject Christ and die in his final wrath.
God loves you and sent his only begotten son to die for your sins accept his sacrifice and live forever.
Study not read your bible go to church listen learn grow up.
"God Bless you in all things

It's not the churches that say this it's written in the Bible.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I like the last part of it the best... Jim

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "threaten death" for sins. If you mean the church itself threatens to kill someone who sins, then that is absurd, as nobody would attend. If you mean that they preach that the Bible says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord", then yes, evangelical Christian churches will teach that. Translation of that Bible verse however, does not mean that people must die for their sins. It means simply that none of us are worthy to enter Heaven because God does not tolerate sin and we all sin. Because of mankind's sinful nature, we cannot live forever on this earth and have to die (Adam and Eve - Genesis - God said if you eat of the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you will surely die). Therefore, the wages, or penalty for sin is that we have to die one day (none of us are getting out of this life alive). If we accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ however, who paid the price for our sin with His death on the cross, then we can live forever after we die, with God in Heaven. I fail to see the foolishness in that. It makes perfect sense to me.

The churches do not threaten. They warn people. This is part of the Christian and the Churches job.

No, you don't have to point out the folly. We are supposed to be free from sin. It was wrong of those Churches.

Religion is about what you do or don't do. Its about relationship with jesus. As we all know there are punishments for disobedience in everyday life. like if disobey your boss you get fired and also the law you go to jail. This happens immediately or days. On the spiritial side of this if you sin you will not die. If you are sinning and have not repent of them you are already dead. That is on the spiritial side of course. your body is still alive and your soul but your spirit is dead. Many of us sin because we do not see the consequences with our eyes. We also do not see jesus coming down to us telling us not to have sex before marriage or lying or any other sins. This is something i also struggle with because its hard to obey something i don't see or touch. But i don't think it changes who jesus is and his commandments and punishments for sins. EVEN IF I CAN'T SEE IT NOW. THE BIBLE DID SAY THAT YOU WILL SPEND YOUR DAYS IN ETERNAL HELL IF YOU CONTINUE IN YOUR SINS. THIS IS NOT RIGHT NOW ITS AFTER HE COMES FOR HIS WORLD. ITS UP TO YOU IF YOU WANT TO TAKE THAT CHANCE. LIKE I SAID YOUR'E ALREADY DEAD. WHERE DO YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR ETERNITY?
