i found this article showing how christians are actully sun worshippers....http://www.seiyaku.com/customs/crosses/sun.html
heres a section of what it says - "The Sun is clearly seen on the banner of the evangelical Christian organisation, the Salvation Army. It repeats itself in the construction of church buildings, and images of the Virgin Mary often show her heart, or baby Jesus, radiating like the Sun. For the Roman Catholic 'Society of Jesus' (Order of Jesuits), the Sun is central to their symbol"
"And to 'prove' Christians are really Sun-worshippers, let's remember what day of the week Christians reserve for their Lord Of course, we are not supporting this Sun-worshipping view. But if it's not Sun worship, then why do Christians use the Sun symbol so much?
so are christians sun worshippers unknowningly?

1 Cor. 8:5, 6, RS: “Although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many ‘gods’ and many ‘lords’—yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.” (This presents the Father as the “one God” of Christians and as being in a class distinct from Jesus Christ.)
1 Pet. 1:3, RS: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (Repeatedly, even following Jesus’ ascension to heaven, the Scriptures refer to the Father as “the God” of Jesus Christ. At John 20:17, following Jesus’ resurrection, he himself spoke of the Father as “my God.” Later, when in heaven, as recorded at Revelation 3:12, he again used the same expression. But never in the Bible is the Father reported to refer to the Son as “my God,” nor does either the Father or the Son refer to the holy spirit as “my God.”). Those who are Christians, you know what saved means. Those who are a little confused, that is to be devoted to the teachings of Jesus and to give your life completely to God. Also it is to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and to be risen on the third day. I want to know which is it that you must DO and what part of Christianity do you practice (Baptist, Methodist, Pentacostal, etc)?

Look, I try to stay out of the business of other faiths and denominations, but this really got to me.

Why do you make your people go around in dress slacks and long-sleeve dress shirts when the heat index is 100+?

I spend a lot of time outside in the heat of summer. I know what it’s like. It’s no fun even in shorts and barefoot.

What would be so terrible about nice shorts and a nice short-sleeve shirt?

As far as I know, Christ and his followers dressed in the custom of their day. They didn’t go out of their way to look different.

Yes, I felt sympathy for this poor guy who came to my door, and maybe that’s what you want? I don’t know. It just doesn’t seem right when it’s so hot out.

George Bush, backed up by several evangelists, has stated Christian God wants him and this country to make Iraq a Democracy. Since Christians do as their God says, in all instances when His name is used, because the Bible "tells them so," why aren't all Christians between 17 and 40 joining the Armed services. They can truly become "Christian Soldiers marching off to war," not just sing about it. It sickens me when I watch a 30 something Christian Conservative blather about God, Iraq, and "our President of this wonderful Christian country," when they have never been in any uniform.

Any God with Compassion and common sense would be telling a President "bring My people home."

America is known for its diversity...we have people of all races and religions..so why is it ok for the government to blatantly endorse a certain religion? Also, why does the pledge of allegiance say "One nation under God" when not everyone in the country believes in God?

Were Jesus` own apostles and other disciples of the first century C.E. scandalously presumptuous toward this Roman Catholik doctrine? Why do we ask this? Because in the twenty-seven books of the "New Testament", the Christian Greek Scriptures, they say nothing about "Transubstantiation" and do not explain the Lord`s supper in that way. Somebody help me to explain this??????

and I'm not trying to make you believe........but to those that do......don't you feel truly bessed that God is so awesome?

I mean, i sit sometimes and think of the sins i've commit against him......yet because of his mercy(i've asked for forgiveness), he has blessed me still in so many ways.

it makes me cry sometimes to think of how merciful he truly is....as undeserving as we can be sometimes.

We had a debate at work about this. There is a huge church right down the street from where I live called World Harvest. Its huge. They won't let you in unless you pay dues. They cancel events if they don't make enough money at the door (this is only what I've heard). The pastor, Rod Parsley, owns a house work 800,000 dollars which by the way in Columbus Ohio is a VERY nice house. He drives a Corvette. The church owns their own jet. Come on now, why can't we use all the money that was spent on these things and, oh, hell, I don't know, feed Africa?

I was already having a rotten morning when a coworker accidentally dropped my fresh fruit cup from the company's fridge. It was a fresh fruit cup I was so seriously looking forward to and it cost me $4.00. Should I (a) Ask for for $4.00 so I can go buy a new one (b) Forget about it (c) Ask her to buy me a replacement fruit cup tomorrow at the place I got it or (d) Let her buy me a fruit tomorrow from the place of her choice? Seriously this was one awesome looking fresh fruit cup.

that is so ugly? I don't understand. Some people on here say that they think black women are unattractive, but what is it exactly that is unattractive about them. Is it their beautiful bronze, caramel or ebony skin,or their full, pouty lips, or their big booties, or maybe it's their luminous smiles,or their almond shaped eyes that sparkle. I guess that's whats ugly to you. Or maybe the reason so many people on here think black women are ugly is because they have feautures that you want, but could never have.

....doing the "judging"; GOD is judge of ALL. Am I right about it?

You see, when we "judge" the ACTIONS of men; we ought to "judge" rightiously; that is; according to the Word of God. And if it is according TO the Word of God, it's not OUR "judgment", it's GOD'S judgment.

Our Lord, Jesus said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." John 7:24

AND it is GOD who will finally judge us ALL in the last day of the "things we have done in this body, whether they be right or whether they be wrong" 2 Cor 5:10.

In FACT, it is those that DO NOT rely on God as judge who can do NOTHING BUT "judge". Why? because they ONLY have themselves to rely on for judgement; and NOT the perfect judgment of God. Amen? A-MEN.
